Anyone want to chat about anything at all? 🤓

I completely agree with this ! I take vitamin D (along with my other supplements year around, but when the weather is acceptable, I also love to be outside and soak up real sunshine Vitamin D full spectrum.
I have always had at least a small garden, but now that my balance is not that good, and our yard is nowhere near a level place to walk, I have decided not to plant a garden this year.

I still will have the flowers and berries to take care of and that is enough for me now. I enjoy going to the farmers market and will get my garden fresh tomatoes and veggies from there this year.
We have had a lot of rain this spring, and all the roses and irises are blooming.
There are blossoms and tiny berries on the blueberries, blackberries, and both the red and black raspberries; so we should have berries this year if I can keep the birds and squirrels away.
This is the black raspberry bush.

Wow, those plants sound great. I bet you will enjoy eating them! I love home grown things. I'm sorry you are having trouble with your balance. Do you know what is causing that?

My balance goes out of whack sometimes and I believe it's from a medicine that I take.

We have some good farmers markets here. One of these days I will ask someone to take me to one.

I think what happened is that some type she used to buy had a recall or warning due to toxic fumes so she began making her own soy candles but yes pain and expensive but it is what she likes to do .

As you know lots types out there natural candles not just soy but again wow prices have gone through roof in few years
I know if you like to burn soy candles a lot the cost adds up fast. I'm burning a Mimosa one now. It's citrussy!

That's another thing about buying them online. Sometimes you don't know what they will smell like. Most of the ones I've had smelled good but one smelled like men's cologne. I didn't care for that.

One day I may try to make some candles but if you need steady hands it will be difficult.

After telling you my sister makes her candles I emailed her as I am now interested in trying it as seems like a fun attempt and like you I like natural smelling stuff .

She lives in Italy but they get Amazon there and know that is where she got her kit .

Would not mind giving it a try myself now .

I'm going to put it on my bucket list 😁 I have to get a lot of things together now. I may be moving, not sure yet. I get income based housing and they may eliminate me from it because they don't have enough funds to help with everyone's rent in the program.

I bet it was good to communicate with you sister.💗

So so but she is going to let me know exact kit she has because your post made me want to try it as like candles .

I have 3 sisters all late 60s , all married .

One in Italy , one in New Orleans and one in NY .

All unpleasant , lack any sense of humor and anal clean freaks .

I am the exact opposite , lol so emails here and there are ok as they lecture and just unpleasant .

I'm sorry for you having to listen to that stuff. I have a sister out of state who isn't always easy to talk/ email/communicate with. It can be unnerving sometimes.

I ordered the soy specific deluxe candle making kit earlier from Amazon

I had no idea not all kits the same but my sister gave me details so it looks like fun and she is sending me several ingredients dry she buys in Italy.

I told her I do not want candles that smell like spaghetti and meatballs but again she has no sense of humor so like talking to a droid but hope it makes it through costumes if not will look for them online .

Should be fun your post opened my eyes to it will be neat and my neighbors are all lovely neighbors so will make to give them

Sometimes I am told that we are in the 25th year of the 21st century. That's because I have never used the tap & go system with a credit, debit or loyalty card. Cash is my preferred choice of payment, cash is anonymous. Expenditures paid for by credit, debit, and loyalty cards are profiled. Credit and debit cards are linked to individual accounts, allowing for detailed transaction tracking and analysis. Loyalty cards collect data on spending habits, which are used to create a profile of the card holder's spending habit.

Expenditure profiles are bought and sold, permission is not needed, primarily in the context of analysis and data-driven decision-making. These profiles, are a valuable asset for various reasons and can be transferred through sales or other forms of data sharing.

Another common activity that I have yet to join the 21st century is e-mail. My Senior Forums account required an email, the fellow who set up my laptop aquired that and it sits at the bottom of my screen with the number 536 beside it. A smart-ass friend told me that I have 536 unread emails. It just goes to show, even when something is dormant it doesn't stop the profiling boys.

How then do I communicate? By hand written letter, that's how. Another friend who was most amused that I have 536 unread emails, suggested that my hand written letters are probably in Latin.

I do have a mobile cell phone, but payment is by way of, pay-as-you-go. in cash of course. It's a so called smart phone but it's far too smart for me, although I can text, that and voice phone is all it gets used for. So along with my 1947 MG I remain stuck in the 20th century, but it doesn't bother me, I'm comfortable there.

Why do you not set a farmers market date for the weekend?

Well that's all very interesting. Now I know a little bit more about you 😊

That's funny about the spaghetti and meatballs 🤤 They do have some unusual scents!

That sounds like George Orwell's character, "Big Brother," in his novel, 1984. So called because he wrote it in 1948 and simply turned the last two digits of the year around.
The ubiquitous slogan "Big Brother is watching you" serves as a constant reminder that Party members are not entitled to privacy.

Yesterday I slept late again 😴 So now I'm up at 2am. I had a good salad a little bit ago.

Some days are easier than others. When I get myself together again I will be getting more medical care. I haven't had Labs in a few years. I ran out of cholesterol medicine but noticed the pain I had in my upper leg is subsiding.

I had that pain for many years while I was taking the cholesterol meds. The pain was so bad I couldn't lift my leg up to put my slacks on. I can almost lift my leg normally. I had other cholesterol meds cause leg pain too.

If I can find something natural for lowering cholesterol I will try it. My arteries are very full of plaque I think it's called that I don't know if anything can really help that. Oh well, we all have to croak from something 😆

I used to feel more self conscious when they put cameras in this building. Everyone is watching everyone else now. I didn't know that Orwell did that with the numbers but then I haven't read much by him.

Your ailment, being ongoing, is akin to something similar with my wife, only her's is arthritis, a condition she has to tolerate because she is on blood thinners, a medication prescribed following her heart surgery. Anti-inflammatory drugs, prescribed for arthritis, are dangerous when combined with blood thinners because they both increase the risk of bleeding.
Like you, my wife is sanguine about her current health condition. It's me who is the one that worries.

We read that book (or did we just watch the movie?) when I went back to school about 12 years ago and I still didn't know that, or remember it if I did know, about the dates. Great movie.

It's great you are looking out for her! That must be very painful for her, I know about arthritis too. I have had it for a long time. I think that's the reason I stopped being active, everything caused me pain. Since I'm way less active I don't have the pain as bad. I can't take a lot of anti-inflammatories either because of having a condition that they can aggravate. Does your wife get any physical therapy?
