I'm so very sorry for your devastating loss Babs. He was a beautiful little boy and the drawing is awesome. I often say a special prayer for parents and we grandparents who have lost our children and grandchildren, that we will be comforted and find peace. I hope happy memories of your son will do that for you.

Thanks so much, Diva.

ROFL!!! :ROFLMAO: I KNEW somebody was going to "say" that! Just that my son is tall (6'2") but my youngest grandson would dwarf me even more. He's about 6'8". Also, I've literally shrunk about 2 inches down to 5'2" (or maybe 5'1.75").
We haven't seen a photo of your GS for a while. I recall the prom pics (I think they were prom) a few years ago. Gorgeous young man.

Late spring cold front with light showers moving through this cool cloudy day. Have a few items I will Amazon purchase today. Because I am buying my next generation desktop computer soon, an HP Omen 35 L chassis model, am also buying accessories and some computer desk furniture. Since now at post surgery day #11 and TB #17 more lively able to move about, will also start vacuum dusting, cleaning and re-arranging my old desktop area at the back of my living room and removing never to be used again equipment. Need to remove an HD hard drive from the chassis then hammer smash its platters. Warriors <> Timberwolves NBA playoff game later. With Steph out from a hamstring strain they will likely soon be eliminated.

Good morning to all and happy Monday, the 12th of May.

Cool weather expected today with a high of 72°, some 22° cooler than yesterday. It touched 100° on Saturday, so I'm glad to see this cooler pattern.

A little laundry and housework and a couple of errands on my schedule today. Might count in some of the business shipments that arrived late last week - will see how the day goes. If not today, definitely tomorrow.

It’s a great day here too StarSong! … :coffee:

The rain stopped sooner than expected and is going to start up again in about an hour. In between? Sunny sky with puffy white clouds.

DD made me make her take me to the garden center ;). I used my gift card to get impatiens to plant in a spot where there have never been flowers before. It's sort of an experiment, and if it's successful, I'll plant more there.

Been to my twice-a-year regular dental cleaning visit today

Our weather can't seem to do anything in moderation anymore. We went weeks without rain then we got 10+ inches in less than 48 hrs.
I came out to the kitchen this AM to find my youngest son asleep on the couch; he lives in a rental house in the country, down near one of our rivers. Lost electricity last night and his road was just about impassible (good thing he had 4-wheel drive). So he's hanging with us for a while.

Visited with Ed

Probably make a WalMart/ grocery run this afternoon. Right now I'm trying to give Tylenol/Advil/decongestant a chance to work to get rid of what feels like a sinus headache. With the barometer going up and down like a yo-yo, it's no wonder I have a HA.

Your poor son. Good thing he has you! Feel better, Cinna..... 🌹

Morning was sunny.
Got a lot of thistles sprayed,,,, just checked a lot of them appear to have wilted.

So much wild mustard in bloom, may take the weed whacker to them.

Sad to mention but it appears that hubby has a heart condition.

Darn doctor didn't set us up to see the heart doctors at the last visit to his office.
I want to call the heart doctor I see but hubby,, says no.
Wants to see what our regular doctor says.

Sorry to hear your hubs has been diagnosed with a heart condition. When you find out exactly what it is , and your doctor has explained everything..if you're confused about anything at all.. @Happyflowerlady will be only too pleased, I'm sure to explain things to you..

Found a great camo Hunting vest with lots of pockets
even a seat cushion strapped to the back. will use it
mushroom hunting. Even has a Mushroom knife sheeth built into it. Like new at a Mom & Pops for $20. Dale Brown
1st edition like new book for $1.25. Yea!

Sure lots of hanging potted flowers out there.

Running off in the camper for a few days. Nowhere too exciting - down to 'The kingdom of Fife', S.E. Scotland and a trip into Edinburgh one day to visit some National Trust properties. Some people rave about Edinburgh, but having worked there for 3 years, I can't get enthusiastic about it. Like many cities, it's not all pretty. Back at the weekend - maybe have a few photos.

I really would love to go on a mushroom hunt with an expert and learn the types that are safe. Until then, I'll buy the regular ole mushrooms in the store. We've had some in the yard that I think are OK but not worth it to find out the hard way that they're not.
