What would you recommend that we should buy?

Everyone needs a personal computer these days to enjoy life especially if one is very old. I recommend a Dell personal computer. I also recommend audiobooks. It's easier to listen than to read as one ages. Go to Audible.com to get one's audiobooks for a very low price. Kindle eBooks are also great.

By now, we've all had decades of buying stuff that never worked- all that crummy junk stuff. But, we've also come across products that we really loved, and did their job well. What is the product/service you would recommend that we should buy?
You know I worked on an antique tv show about maybe 20 years ago... where members of the public bring their stuff to be valued and see if things are worth more than tuppence...

While talking in the green room with 2 of the top Valuers in the country, they told me that the future lies in disposables.. now bear in mind this was 20 years ago... so anything from back then and before.. which was meant to be disposable is gaining value.. if not already valuable...

Certain throwaway items that you may get free with purchases.. fast food etc... if kept in their original packaging , will be very vauable in the future.. according to them, ...

...so from now on don't eat that burger just keep it in it's original apckaging and it'l bring you riches in 20years... :ROFLMAO:

In all seriousness now... it's true...Disposables are going to be the antiques of the future

Wiss brand, spring-loaded stainless steel scissors. Great for cutting paper, cardboard, flexible plastic, etc. Affords good leverage, and easy on the hand. Accept no cheap substitutes (as found in 'dollar stores'). But when I bought mine, 10 years ago, I paid only about $10 for Wiss brand.

Other general recommendations...

L-Ion battery powered tools (drills, impact drivers, circular saws, etc), brands I've found to be very good... Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita... I buy only their professional-grade models

Weedwhacker/brush-cutter... Shindaiwa (I've tried Stihl & Husqvarna, but like Shindaiwa for reliability & durability)

Lincoln brand electric welding equipment

I wish I had done that years ago when I expected to be around long enough to reap the benefit. Nowadays I'm not so sure of that. ;)

I think I've enjoyed my home security cameras more than any other optional purchase I've made over the past few years. If I hear a noise outside, I only need to glance at the monitor by my laptop to see what's going on. Also, if I'm expecting someone, I can see them pulling into the drive, and meet them at the door.
