How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

WhatsApp is a Facebook product and service. Why would your phone provider know anything about you having that on your phone, computer, and shower?
whatsapp is not a facebook product, it's a texting APP which is downloaded on the phone from the App store !

Trying to talk myself into planting a few flower seeds.
I think it's supposed to rain the rest of this week?

Been going to tell you about Mac crying while i was in the kitchen.
Walked over to what his problem was... there was a male humming bird, lying on the porch.

Poor little bird was dead!

Not sure if it hit the sliding glass door or cat was quick & caught it.
What a way to study one up close.

Buried it in the flower bed.
Sometimes it is a hawk chasing them. The make a final turn to avoid it and hit a window. Sometimes they are stunned.

Just because they've bought whatsapp recently , doesn't make it anything to do with them, You don't have to go anywhere near Facebook to have whatsapp it's a standalone texting App which is downloaded from the App store....
Exactly.

Just because they use your phone number as your ID and they crosslink into other things on your phone like the Contacts list...

Why would you think your phone service provider should know anything about things you handed over to some app?

Good morning. I finally caved in and decided to go see an orthopedic doctor for my shoulder pain. It started in February from moving furniture, both shoulders. I was able to get the pain down quite a bit, but never gone completely and some nights the pain went into my biceps. That really hurt and woke me up.

I was looking for the phone number of the doctor I’d seen before and was so happy to see they now have a walk in clinic! I was there an hour later! It was what I had figured, the rotator cuff. Two cortisone shots and I slept pain free last night. She also prescribed a anti-inflammatory to take for 30 days and to eliminate some of the weight machines for awhile.

Today will be quilting, of course, exercise bike and maybe one final trip to JoAnn Fabrics. They’re closing after 80+ years and are in their final days. Quilting fabric is $4 a yard. The only thing I’m likely to find is backing fabric and I have zero resistance when it comes to fabric, so it’s probably best I don’t go.

I will probably make some lemon blueberry bread, too.

Have a good day everyone!

Morning? It's morning again already? Around midnight thunder woke me up. After that, I was awake/asleep/awake/asleep...

It's Rocking Chair Money Day. Yippee. There might be impatiens joining the family this morning. According to their ad, Lowe's has flats of 8 for $5.

@PurplePower I understand about you and fabric; I'm the same way about flowers...obviously, see above paragraph. LOL I can't be left unsupervised in a garden center, and now that DD has caught the gardening bug, she can't, either. We're useless at supervising each other.

BTW, @Purple Power...Hurley...it's where I'm from sort of. Born on the Michigan side of the state line because that's where the hospital was (and still is). Parents took me home to Hurley. After the war years in Hawaii, Michigan again. So I'm a Yooper but with Wisconsin roots.

..because almost everyone uses it....it would be a natural thing for them to explain how to change the phone number over into whatsapp...... again I ask what are you talking nsout..Computer and Shower ?...you're usual nosnese talk I expect!

Morning folks!! A bright sunny day here, if a bit cool, 57deg thats cool for me these days....slept okay, little restless due
to the pains in the old body....ah well...no big plans yet, do
have a chair full of just laundered clothes to fold and put away...
sometime life is so boring now it just sucks, but what the heck,
I don't want all the excitement I see on the news LOL...
Catch you later, gater!!~!

It's overcast, it's been raining slightly, not enough to give anything a drink unfortunately...hopefully it'll rain more later today.

It's past 1pm.... I just had mushrooms on toast for lunch...

Fetched the wheelie bins in from the kerb.. we have 2 emptied today..both recycling, one for grass cutting and branches, the other for cardboard and cans... ..I noticed that my right bicep is still hurting from when I chopped the back corners trees and shrubs a few days ago...

Anyway.. no plans for today...hopefully just a rest day today.... Have a good one folks (y)

I had to get up extra early today due to work-people coming to put in some new baseboards (restoration repairs from a leak that came down from an apartment 4 floors above me last month). They were really fast and good, tho they'll also be coming back this afternoon to paint those walls (seems like unnecessary step to me, but they said I might as well take advantage of getting a few walls freshly painted since I wouldn't be paying for it).
My back has been hurting for the past week after I'd had a really ambitious day of house-cleaning, so yesterday I went to an appointment with a spine-neuro place and got spine MRI and Xray request forms. The earliest appointment at the most convenient location isn't until Saturday. Meanwhile the doctor prescribed one of those 6 day methyl-prednisone packs which he acted like I would love but so far my back still hurts. But, I think the numbness under my pants pocket area is lessening (it was the numbness that scared me into making a doctor appt).

Did my Rocking Chair Money Day errands, among them a visit to Lowe's garden center, of course. There was a sign "Now Hiring." DD was talking to one of the ladies who's always there, and she said they're looking for someone to come in at 5am to water the plants. Seems it's hard to find someone who will show up at 5am. DD told me she'd be willing to take me to work there that early, just not to work at the biscuit place. Next up is to find their website and apply. Stand by🤞🤞🤞🤞, and while you're at it, face the East for a moment of silent prayer...

The members that suggested I donate my garage sale items - I've been that route. Charity shops around here are already saturated with merchandise and aren't accepting things. The closest senior center has cut way back on table space since a new administrator took charge and the only rack is already overloaded.

The other senior center is very restrictive about what can be left on their giveaway table. Our church has a freebie table, but already people are leaving more items than there is table space.

I am cursed with "white elephants". If I had a wish, I would wish that my mom had taken the money she spent on things nobody wants anymore and had invested it in stock or bonds. At least they don't take up room, aren't heavy to carry around and pay dividends.

Why not just wait for a few, consecutive dry weather days and put everything you can't sell into a box and place the boxes at the curb? This way someone takes it for free and it doesn't go into the landfill.

Probably jinxed myself by mentioning the garden center job. I filled out their strange on-line application. Website said there are two jobs available, regular full-time jobs. Then asked for preferred hours and gave options for part-time seasonal jobs. I'll be surprised if I hear from them.

I thought you said you DD won't drive you ?

If charity are shops not taking your things , it's because they know they're not sellable... in that case, you should open the bin lid, and throw them all in...
When I was packing up to move to Scotland, I took a lot of books to a charity shop that normally accepted them. This time I was told, 'we can't take no books'. I replied, you mean, you can't take ANY books. Outside the shop was a waste bin, so I dumped the books into it and walked off.

Many , many charity shops now are refusing books, because they can't sell them.

In fact just a few days ago I took a large donation of clothing, and general household goods to the CS, in a giant zipped up bag, and the lady politely reminded me they don't take Christmas decorations nor Books..neither of which was in there..so all was well..

However , there is a Book charity shop which opened in a town a few miles miles from here... and they only take books , nothing else ... and they give them away for free.
It's set up similar to a library within the shop, and anyone can help themelves to up to 3 books for free..

I have donated quite a few books to them. Sadly most of their books, are either cheap fiction, or studies, and technical as it's a University town ... so when they get books like the ones I donate they're more than delighted..

The idea I think is that it keep books in circualtion and they hope that those who take the books will bring them back again.
