What have you bought recently?

I initially went to get some paint...nothing fancy just Dulux satinwood paint and some undercoat.. so I went to B&Q which is the biggest Box store which sells all the hardware.. and paint in the UK... and where we've always bought paint .. and they didn't have any.. almost all the shelves were full of big tubs of fence paint.. or Farrow & ball paint which is eye wateringley expensive

so I drove on to the Big Box Discount store.. almost the same story there.... so I gave up..

I'll go to another town and see if they have any in the branches there

I just ordered the full set of The Sopranos DVDs (eBay - new: $25, with shipping and tax: $33). DH probably watched it half a dozen times already - totally hooked on it - but it isn't free for us to stream anymore. Cheaper to buy it than to pay $9.99 for Max each month.

I liked the series but once was enough for me...

Yesterday bought a golf pull cart for my wife and a swimsuit for me. Sunday bought a cheap Epson printer to replace the nightmare Smart Tank 7301 from HP. Managed to talk HP into a full refund so in some ways that's not a new purchase, in fact I'll come out ahead by fifty bucks or thereabouts.

Do let me know how easy the epson is to set up please.. because my Canon has just died, and I need a new all in one printer scanner copier.... but every time I read the reviews of one I like they say it's a horror to set up...

Epson was relatively easy to set up in that I did it myself and was able to hook up my wife's Apple computer. It took a while, though, as I tried to be patient and careful with the directions and the software installations.

yes ,, see I have an Mac desktop as well.. and I'm not techi minded... so I'm scared to get something that's not straightforward

Epson has decent customer support. So does HP but the product itself is terrible.
I had an all-in-one HP in the past, I wouldn't touch HP now with a Barge pole...I've had the Canon for probably 10 years.. and it gave me up on me a few weeks ago. I'm sure it could be easily fixed but despite searching for instruction on Google I can't fix it... so I have to buy new!

Reluctantly, just paid my annual home owner's insurance. Saved a little bit on the monthly fees by paying all up front, do with all bills if the option is offered. An evil necessity. I did receive my anxiously awaited ($29) wood platform on solid castors for my AIO, yesterday.

Had time to install the desk to the platform, of course in my mind it should have been a cake walk, turned into utter chaos but the wife came to my rescue & saved the day. I'm so glad our son is related to her. Why do I make it so damn hard?

Finally bought summer shorts, T's & lighter socks, We hit the 90's last week. Needed to rethink my dress code.

Wife & DD went to CostCo for bulk items. TP & paper towels were a King's ransom $28 for 12 rolls of towels & $18 for like amount of TP. Everyone's getting in on the tariff gravy train. Both are domestically produced.
