What have you bought recently?

Okay you convinced me, I just ordered a rechargeable setup for both the AAA & AA battery packs with chargers. A triple 'AAA' for the keyboard which I do like & a dbl 'AA' setup for the Logitech M510 mouse that I also like for my All-In-One. Now I no longer have a new/unused Mouse & Keyboard combo. Thanks to 'Mint' & UPS.

Decided to return the wired KB & mouse unopened since my last order hasn't been shipped. Easy, Peasy!
Both chargers & batteries came the 15th. Plugged in the AA as a test, think it may work unless they won't hold a charge too long.

I ordered a box of packets of my cat's favorite treat, those squeeze-up packets that they lick as you push the food out... the boxes i get in town have 8 packets of two flavors, but only 4 packets of the ones she loves! And, she's out already. So she's going to be very happy next week.

And I ordered an effect pedal for my guitar rig, gives the "Jimi" sound. I'm excited!

That’s interesting that it didn’t cause you to gain any weight
I did gain weight but the drug didn't cause my weight gain, my overeating caused my weight gain.

The drug stimulates the appetite; if you can ignore the increased appetite and not overeat, then you wouldn't gain weight. It's the eating not the drug.

Lol, i was in Costco one time and opened a jar of macadamia nuts before I even got to the register, I was so hungry!

Heads up, @StarSong. The 🦅 does his duty today. I'm gonna go to the credit union to buy some cash. Then I'm gonna go spend it. Optimally, of course:ROFLMAO:
Thanks! It's been an expensive month ($1600 just in truck repairs) so that check will arrive not a moment too soon. I'm glad we kept our business open because SS alone wouldn't cut it and I don't want to dip into savings yet.

Anti-depressants did that to me. They were a godsend for my severe menopause symptoms but talk about appetite stimulants. Ugh...

I took them for at least 5 years and despite feeling like I was starving myself, I gained about 25 lbs and held onto most of it for about 5 more years. Finally lost the last of it when I went plant-based 11 years ago.

Cash from the credit union for DGS's birthday card (next week) and some cash for our trash picker-uppers. We tip them every summer for Christmas-in-July because it's so bloody hot and suggest cooling off by having a cold one after work🍺.

Boring stuff from Wallyworld🥱. Dry kitty food, a birthday card for DGS, corn tortillas, cheese.

That doesn't sound like Optimizing Every Moment to me:(.

I'm gonna have to work harder at OEM-ing.

Almost $200 in purchases at Costco today, including $90 for stocking up some vitamins and health items that were on sale.

All else was food. Egg prices have finally come to earth - $4.89/2 dozen extra large. I also bought a six pack of their 16 oz cartons of liquid egg whites, mostly to freeze for holiday baking. Last holiday season, egg prices - and egg white prices - were through the roof because of bird flu. Sure hope that virus doesn't wipe out flocks again anytime soon.

At the nearby Home Depot, 3 walk to blocks away, bought for $16, a 14 ounce can of Clear Flex Seal, liquid rubber sealant coating after running out of a previous spray can's contents sealing usual pin holes in my aging tent.

And also an $8 J-B Weld, QuikWeld, epoxy kit I'll use to complete my license plate anti-theft screw work.

In the mean time, am off to BofA and then Trader Joe's for a few groceries. Especially like their 99 cent yogurts.

I bought a pair of Nordic trek poles, I think they are called. My grand plan is to use them when I walk alone, so I don't fall. I walk on grass on uneven and hilly ground

I thought of this when I was walking my stepdaughter's dog. He was fine, no problem. I walked down a short (12") hill to the driveway and suddenly sank to my knees on the driveway. Skinned my knee, like I was a kid. Got to thinking about it, and decided this pole stuff was a good idea until I get stronger, which is one of my Big Goals.

This was the first time I've ever fallen, and it was no big deal at all. But I am trying to be mature and wise instead of fobbing it off because it'll never happen again.

We went to visit Aldi Aisle of Shame. I didn't spend any money. DD spent money.

We got ground beef and potatoes for meatloaf and roasted potatoes for supper tonight. And some gelato for me because I need gelato and only have two partial cartons in the freezer.

Wait. I did "spend" some money. Whenever I have $10 in cash, I buy an Aldi gift card to give the cashier with instructions to give it to the next customer who uses SNAP benefits. It's only $10, not much, but could mean a lot to somebody who's pressed for grocery money. And I'm not in danger of going hungry. KWIM?

This Saturday morning, went back to a Dollar Tree store and bought more candy because last night ate all the candy I'd bought to bring backpacking. At DT, when buying candy, it is especially important to ignore packaging sizes and rather read the net weight weights. Most popular candy bars in say drug stores today, go for about $1.59 for 2.5 ounces. A few products approach 3 ounces.

At DT those are slightly cheaper by weight, but there are often huge deals because that corp buys up going out of business store stocks etc. Today for $1.29 each, bought 12 ounces of a strawberry filled hard candy and 12 ounces for butterscotch hard candies. Also $1.29 each for 5 ounces of Whopper chocolate malt balls, 3.4 ounces of Junior Mints, for 4.5 ounces of an off-brand chocolate peanut butter cups.

So...I was thinking about my measly little $10 Aldi gift card. This afternoon DGD told DD about her co-worker who has lost 22 lbs in the past three weeks. Their boss noticed and mentioned it to him, and he admitted that while he and his wife both work full time, their finances are so tight that he skips meals so that there's enough for her :(. (Whenever someone needs to have a shift covered, he jumps in and takes the shift.)

Boss trotted off across the street to the supermarket and bought a bunch of shelf-stable groceries and gave them to him.

DGD and a couple of other co-workers decided to get him an Aldi gift card tomorrow so they can get perishables and whatever else they need. Two of the co-workers Cash-Apped $$ to DGD so before her shift tomorrow, they're going to get a gift card for however much they collect. Maybe it will help enough to get them caught up and be able to buy gas to get to work. Just a few dollars from a bunch of people can add up to a bunch of food. It's nice that he works with people who care.

Today I bought a couple of new travel coffee mugs and some new water bottles. Both are excellent so far at not leaking. The water bottle has a lock and then a button to pop the lid open to take a drink as well as a carry handle. I like them. The coffee tumbler I filled with hot coffee at like 3 or 4 this afternoon and it was still hot at 8 pm. Wow! I use them around the house more so in the summer because I get these annoying little gnats in the house that have no boundaries and end up in my drinks. These will do nicely.
