I try to not be a complainer but a short vent is needed...

I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. (Anemia)

No energy for hardly anything. People--even those I love--irritate the snot outta me... I can barely be civil.

I'm scheduled for an iron infusion Wednesday... I pray this is the turn-around I need.

Sorry about the blah post... thanks for listening

I have battled withy anemia. It sure does take a lot out of you. I wish you the best!

I am trying to get hold of someone in the cardio group. My request sounds casual. "Do you happen to have any Xarelto samples in my strength?"
If not I need to fill a prescription for well over $500. a month which i really cannot afford.
I have to take a blood thinner because of blood clots. Xarelto or Eliquis costs me nearly $600 per month. I was forced to go with a generic purchased thru a Canadian pharmacy and imported from India. The generic is less than $200 for a 90 day supply, but you have to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive.

I did some research on GoodRX. Are you able to take the generic, Rivaroxaban 2.5mg? You can get 60tabs for $194. Check out GoodRX.com for more info.

Well they gave me four weeks of samples and I may be able to stop taking them at that point because I had a Watchman installed. I would be quite happy but I got bad news from yesterday's ultra sound and also tomorrow I need to spend $145. on Farxiga. It never ends.

I saw the planets aligned, but only 3 of them. It gets too light before all 6 are above the trees. Yard day. It was warm with clear skies before dawn, but now overcast and smells like rain. I felt motivated when I got up and did my exercises, but now seem to be losing my enthusiasm. Nothing good to watch on TV and nothing sounds interesting or fun to cook.

TV is so bad here, despite 21 Roku subscriptions, and the big golden TV package with channels out the yazoo, and trying to stay conscious watching the documentary about the rare purple stripped assed baboon in East Madagascar for the third time, that we are back to watching contest cooking shows. With his memory failing, my hubs doesn't remember them, so he can watch them with excitement.

I have tried lying, saying I had never seen that cooking contest show before, to make him feel better about his dementia, but I always slip up when he asked who do I think will get eliminated and I say I remember it being the gal that made the bay sha mel sauce that forgot to add salt. He gets aggravated because I ruined the show.

Note: I have no idea what bay sha mel sauce is or how to spell it and don't care.

I may just put on a pot of beans and find our old DVD of Blazing Saddles. :)

Good morning, no rain scheduled for today but Hurricane Erin is coming along our coastline with dangerous rip tides and big waves. I hope all will stay off the beaches and out of the water. The other disturbance seems to be turning north away from the US, too.

Keep good thoughts today, everyone and enjoy your day, too.

I'm way behind on this thread after a week in the NY area. Had a great visit with family!

3 year old grandson came yesterday, it was lovely to see him, but we're still more jet-lagged than we believed, so when DIL picked him up at 5 pm we were ready to say goodbye.

I went through the week's worth of posts here to catch up. Sounds like most everyone is doing well, but I wanted to offer a few shout-outs.

@Pepper, I'm so happy about your no-Parkinson's diagnosis. What a relief! Sorry about the additional blockages though.
@CinnamonSugar and @Babs2u, I hope the medical interventions help.
@hollydolly, so glad you're slowly recovering from the accident, and are increasingly able to be out and about.
@KSav, I hope you find a support group that works for you. While you may not consider yourself to technically be an alcoholic, it does sound like alcohol creates problems in your life.
@OneEyedDiva and @packleader, glad to see you and your loved ones are doing well.
@hawkdon - sending a week's worth of hugs your way.

It's nice to spend a little time among you again, my friends.

Hubby & I made a shopping trip to Walmart this morning.
Seemed crowed with folks.
I shopped most of my list & called it done.

Back in the car,,asked hubby is it me ,,or were there a lot of odd people in the store.
He agreed that he thought so too.

He's out in the wood pile splitting up wood.

Here I am trying to remember:unsure: what I was going to today.,,,,😣 😴

I did work a bit on the messy flower beds ,last evening.
Took down plants that had seeds on them,, put them in different areas.

Guess we had some rain last night,, didn't make the ground easy to work in.

Catch you all Later.
See what exciting lives you all live !!

Have a fun day!🙃

I'm feeling unenthusiastic today, I went for a short walk but even tho the temperature is nice (74), the humidity is over 90 percent and it is so dark and gloomy that the walkway lights have turned on.
It's funny that when I had a kid and we went shopping for school supplies it wasn't much fun to wait while each notebook was looked at (to pick the best cover), a spirited sales pitch would be overwhelming me with how the old backpack couldn't be used and a brand new one was necessary, etc, plus the cost was shocking at the checkout, but gee I wish we could do it again.

My driver's license renewal is due in a couple months. So this morning, had an annoying time setting up either via my phone or online, an appointment with the California DMV, since they sent me a driver's license renewal stating I had to come into an office for a visual test for being over 70 years old. Just walking into one of the DMV offices without appointments, is notorious for making people wait in long lines for hours often ending up having to return because they needed some papers they didn't expect. Had to first set up an online account that took about 10 minutes itself with myriad steps.

After that, by the phone after about 5 minutes slowly going through selections, it would get lost. Worse, after nearly completing the phone process twice, a d@#$ gardener outside my residence with one of those power edgers kept passing by so I couldn't clearly hear the questions without a way to back out... So started over 3 times.

The first time online it timed out due to the DMV's own ridiculous circular process. Finally, I went online to the main state DMV office where I managed to get through it using a different process than the local offices use. Yikes!

Then grabbed my bank checking account stuff to pay a half dozen monthly bills and found a letter from Morgan Stanley stating an old stock grant account from a corporation I'd worked for with a modest $3k in the account, had not been accessed recently, so was being sent to the State of California as abandoned. Thus spent a half hour on a phone call getting that straightened out.

Thankfully, the rest of my day is looking easier with much more fun. In 3 hours will drive 7 miles to a free outdoor street concert with a Classic Rock cover band. Sunny with temperatures looking to be nicely in the upper 70Fs.

Been busy w travel and music, and frankly my system doesn't tolerate the travel that well. I rode the 900 to the top of Galena Summit and back home. No drama! Traffic was heavy northbound, but I think the peak of the summer travel season is over as kids are back in school in places.

We saw Tedeschi Trucks Band in Missoula at the Kettlehouse Amphitheater after staying w friends in Moscow, ID.

Music starts at 17 seconds. Skip to some of the best electric guitar playing you've ever heard at 5:00.

Locally the free symphony has been excellent. 100 + piece symphony w guests on this past Saturday night.

what made you think they were odd ... compared to any other day..? :sneaky:

@hollydolly I thought of you in the middle of the night as I lay sweating. How do you do those toasty nights with no relief? I was rather miserable and I have an air conditioner. And @hawkdon ? That heat does not sound safe for you.. hopefully that is resolved soon. Nothing much to brag about here…pretty darn dull.
Exactly.. it's just a horror show as you imagined..

I try my best with the fans of course... and no bedding..other than the bottom sheet, ..but is a rough deal....

I said to my doctor just the other day... who btw had a massive mobile aircon unit in his office.. with the big chunky hose hanging out the window.. and I said, I really wish I had AC at home.. and he went off on a tangent about how AC was bad for the climate ...

Thank you, @StarSong! I've started going to AA on a weekly basis—just one meeting so far, another on Saturday—and I intend to keep going. I may start going more often given that my mental anguish is still quite high.

I'm glad you had a good visit back East and a safe trip home.
