You mind that cardiologist doesn't comment: "Too many bags of Popcorners." Just teasing Diva, sincerely, I do hope that all is well. My wife's recovery has taken as long as her surgeon predicted, so I hope your cardiologist finds nothing untoward.
Thank you so much kind Sir❣️ Both my cardiologists, yesterday was the main one (I saw the electrical conduction specialist last week), are basically happy with where I am right now. My echocardiogram hasn't changed in two years but shows (as it did before) that I'm dehydrated, something she said yesterday is common with diabetics because we tend to pee more frequently. So she wants me to drink 32 additional ounces of water per day. I was already trying to drink more. I don't usually drink plain water, however. To accomplish that, I'll have to drink from bottles (don't ask me why...it seems harder for me to get water down when I use glasses).

My BP was also a little high. I had changed to taking the pill at night. She said best to go back to taking it in the morning. Neither of them mentioned that I'm overweight. But I let them know that I know I need to lose weight. I hope your wife will continue to recover well and will also get good news from her cardiologist. Heart stuff can really sit one down, so I also pray that her quality of life isn't adversely affected.

Sooo...last night I did go over HS#3's house for the cognitive assessment testing. It took a bit longer than either of us expected, a little more than two hours considering going through the instructions and a couple of minutes of breaks here and there. I think I did fairly well. It consisted in part of duplicating shapes seen on paper (one set using actually two toned blocks), remembering number sequences, both forward and backward and language comprehension skills.

Some of the exercises were very tricky or just plain hard. HS#3 said he'd have problems with a couple of them. One set of exercises was missing some pages but he said I won't have to complete those tasks when he gets a new booklet with the proper amount of tests pages. He feels I did very well.....glad we got that out of the way!

Today I have to disassemble and thoroughly clean Deja's fountain as well as dry and wet Swiffer the bathroom floor. Additionally I need to balance my check books, which I haven't done in a month and a half, and update my budget spreadsheets. In between those tasks, I'll catch up with some emails and social media posts.

What a great opportunity for you to have that cognitive test especially with an HS and not the Dr's office. Glad you passed. 🤗

Morning all, on my early walk at 6:45 temp was 46 raining lightly but breezy as I walked around building twice a before breakfast. The forecast calls for rain all day but if its not pouring mid morning or in afternoon, I may go outside for another walk, otherwise I'll walk our long hallways for exercise
The rest of my day do some laundry, read NYT, paper work
Everyone have a good day

Headed to the lab shortly to do have my pre-procedure blood work done prior to my heart catheterization at 6:30 a.m. Friday morning then I'll come back home and get mama's yard mowed for her a couple of days earlier than normal because I was told after the procedure to take it easy, not pick up anything over 2-3 lbs. and definitely no yard work or any other even mildly strenuous activity for a couple of weeks....sure will be glad when this is done and over with.

Good morning everyone. Another nice day, although it looks like Tropical Storm Melissa is circling around and they are still not sure where it will go. Fingers crossed it will go out into the Atlantic Ocean but some of the islands will be affected at this time in the projection.

@Pepper I will keep you in my thoughts today that all goes well.🤗

Have a good day, everyone. :)

Afternoon peeps of SF... 🌺

It' been a gloriously sunny and warm day today..🌞🌞🌞.. It rained during the night.. but no rain or wind today..

It's just about 2.30pm and it;s startin gto feel a little chillier now, so I've just been going around closing the windows...

forecast for tomorrow is not looking so lovely, we've had warning of storm winds and structural damage from tomorrow... so this morning, i went around trying to make sure things in the garden were anchored down...

have the best day you can Folks...

No surgeries today. Canceled. Don’t know why. Last night son and dil were with me for two important doctors visits in my room. My case very complicated. Looks gloomy. Spent night in agony pain.
@Georgiagranny
Son taking care of cats. Miss them.
That’s all so disappointing. The cancelled surgery, the pain, and missing your cats.

TG you have your son and DIL to support you.

@hearlady!!!! According to the Aldi website for my zip code, they have the jammies again. $12.99. I'm going over there this afternoon. Hope they aren't lying! Pink or navy. Crew or V neck. Didn't say whether they have pockets.

The others that they've had recently were all crop top. Ew. These aren't.
Happy Jammie Days are here again! 😴

Feeling virtuous again. Whenever I do anything anymore, it makes me feel virtuous.

For a couple of weeks now I've been thinking about cleaning the patio umbrella. It's a heckuva job and takes forfreakinever. That sucker is 9 feet long and 7 feet wide. This afternoon I did it. I get a medal🥇. Another job well thought over...jusssayin.

Last night I dreamed I ate a piece of pizza🍕 and wanted another one. I got up and much to my dismay I was up and ready to go fetch another piece, only to discover that it was a dream. I was so disappointed.

I told DD about the dream. DSIL is bringing pizza home for supper:)

Got my Covid shot today. Will wait a couple of weeks before getting the flu jab.

By late morning it was a beautiful autumn day. The garden ornaments are all stored away for another year. The snow tires were installed a few days ago. I’m physically ready for the season. Definitely not mentally prepared.

Good morning SF'ers... 🌺

My garden has a thick layer of wet laurel leaves all over it..

Thankfully I don't have to go out today.. and I can keep hunkered down ....

Have the best day you can folks... 🍂🪵🍂

Well, I'm so sorry Pepper! I know you hate to drag this out especially with your pain! 😒 I know they must have a good reason to cancel and it's in your best interest but it must be hard on you. Let's hope they get it together and help you.

I have been so busy. I got a Facebook notice from Williamsburg VA around Sept that they were looking for people to construct a quilt square telling your own American story. It will be added to a very large quilt commemorating the 250th birthday of the nation next year.

Well, I'm not a real quilter but I am an amateur crafter and sewer so thought this was right up my alley. We do visit Williamsburg and bought yearly passes with all the events coming up there.
I've gotten my granddaughters involved and when they come next week they will make their own square. I'll have the sunroom set up as a craft room.

The theme is to create "Your own American story". I pondered and since we were an Air Force family I've gone with that theme and I'm adding the bases we've lived at in the states.

I'll post a pic when done.
So, if you don't hear much from me that's why. 😉

Hi everyone. We're back again from a spell down south helping our elder daughter move to her new home. It's a nice house, although the previous occupants were obviously lacking in DIY skills. Our younger daughter joined us for the weekend and between us got WiFi installed, new 'white goods' delivered and curtains hung. It will take a while to get everything right, but it will be really good then.

Over the years it looks as though several different TV, phone and internet companies have supplied the house and left redundant junction boxes attached to walls. Anyone remember 'Nynex'?
