Chilly here today but not unpleasant. I've already taken Lucius on two of his walks for the day and am just settling in now.

Today is an anniversary of sorts for boyfriend and I. Not the romantic one, that's coming up in April. But as of today we have been friends for 10 years.

@Kaila, thinking of you and hope you're feeling well this weekend.

@Pam and @RadishRose, it's so nice to hear about how you both enjoy lovely grandchildren.

Everybody seems in a fairly good mood today, which is wonderful.

My day is running behind because I've been hanging out with my son, having one of our marathon conversations. We were all up in Star Trek, AI, politics (he is the only person on the planet I will discuss politics with), the movie, Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter, which I've just seen want son to watch so we can discuss, and other topics I've forgotten now because we were talking for hours. He's so freaking cool.

@Kaila, I managed some good sleep again last night and am hoping you did also!

I’m another who had a decent sleep last night and a good walk this morning. This afternoon is the Grey Cup so may or may not walk again today. This is the only football game we watch, other than parts of the Super Bowl.

Hello, and good evening, dear thread friends.

Just wanting to let you all know that I'm doing okay, and dh is doing okay today, too.


I was exhausted today, but little by little, managed to do small tasks that needed to be done.

I also did a bit of my p.t. exercises.

Back to p.t. tomorrow, Monday morning.

It's very cold in the mornings, and I think I'll have to give in and wear my winter jacket- coat, tomorrow.

Winter is settling in. I tried not to let it but it's bigger than me.

Pleased you managed to get some tasks done @Kaila ... and exercises too... I must do mine, but not today.

Cold start to the day here but it is sunny and bright. I've been out with Rocco, done a bit of hand washing, no intention of doing anything else other than a bit of cross stitch and take Rocco out again a bit later on. Snooker final was last night and my favourite won, so I'm a happy bunny. Next televised tournament will be on November 29th, looking forward to that.

@Kaila, I feel you about winter! Absolutely freezing on the first walk today. I didn't wear gloves (I just don't want to admit I need them) and my hands hurt when Lucius and I got back. It feels, to me, like winter is coming early and very abruptly. But there's no stopping it, even if I'm not at all ready to let go of autumn.

---Great that you got some things done and managed some exercise yesterday! That's got to pay off for you.

---Good thoughts for your physical therapy today.

Hoping everyone here is feeling good this Monday.

Happy to see sleep was caught up on. I certainly had my share last night, after a lousy sleep the night before.

Yes, it is getting colder, 40F here but it's going on 1pm. Grey skies. We had rain for 2 days on and off. @Pam I read that storm Claudia is drowning parts of Great Britain; hope not you!

Was planning to make pasta sauce today, but losing momentum. *sigh*

@Kaila glad you're keeping up with PT.

You've got a lot of priorities that I 100% agree should come before considering any exercises, Pam!

For examples:

Rocco cuddles and walks and pats and cuddles!
Visits with your wonderful family members.
Rocco cuddles.....
Snookers, whatever that is!
Rocco cuddles.

Just one thing though. Don't expect me to do any exercise that isnt on my own list!

@RadishRose Love that jelly!! Thanks for asking, but thankfully, Storm Claudia hasn't really affected us in this area. Yes, we had some rain but nothing torrential like the northern parts of this county (Cumbria) and some parts of the UK have had. No flooding etc.

It's a cold day today with a sort of watery sunshine every now and again. Rocco and I have had our walk - very reluctantly on both our parts - and this time @Medusa I actually wore a pair of gloves. Similar to yourself, I'd put off wearing them but this morning I gave in.

Pleased for those who had a better night's sleep. It really does make a difference, doesn't it?

Going to sort out something to eat now. Have a good day, @Kaila and all.

I am looking for a sewing project to take my mind away during the quiet pockets, but nothing is grabbing me, so far. I don't want to make a table runner, tote, apron... All the things that can be made with a yard of fabric. Maybe something witchy? But not a hat... can you see me sitting at my pc in a big witch -- you know, actually... -I've been perusing Youtube for ideas. I know it's out there in the ether, the thing I want to sew right now...

@Kaila, hope you got some rest and are feeling alright today.

@CallMeKate, so glad to hear about the improvements to your heating situation! Yay! No more Katecicles!

@Medusa I actually wore a pair of gloves.

Gloves; I'm glad for the warmth, but yeesh, they make it hard to do, literally, anything! I suppose we can no longer put off winter. Nature always wins. Is it lame that I'm already waiting for spring?
