How are you today?

For at least two weeks almost every night when I go to bed about 11;30, I hear a faint chirp-like noise. When I open the window at 9:30, there‘s nothing. It’s a similar sound and rhythm to a smoke alarm battery that’s wearing out. It seems like it’s in the distance. It’s also like the warning sound of heavy equipment backing up. I can’t think of any bird or animal that makes this sound for a few hours. Tomorrow I’ll report if I heard it again.
 
Good morning! I liked yesterday and March(ed) 4th :ROFLMAO: so I'll love today. It's spring(ish) here and we almost broke a temperature record yesterday. Probably again today. For a change there's no fog and the sun is shining brightly.

Got more weeds yanked yesterday. That'll show 'em. There are more to do, but I think today I'm gonna move some dianthus and other things.

Tonight is spaghetti and meatballs. I volunteered.

Gotta throw on my gardening duds and get out there before I lose my motivation. Sometimes it hides under the bed or in the closet.

Y'all have a perfectly splendid day, okay?
 
Good morning all folks!! It is gloomy and very foggy and damp
out there, may get some storms afternoon...46dekg going to
low 60's....slept fairly well, ache ^ pains are working today
about like usual,,,my get up n go has not kicked in yet, but
I'll find something to do....take care now.....;):p

it's overcast here and we got some rain this morning. nice cozy day.

i have a few dishes to wash and i'm waiting for my groceries so i can get my hypoallergenic stuff to shower with. then i need to do a little wash. it's getting backed up. :(
 
That chirping noise didn’t happen last night. That’s because I mentioned it here. It was raining all night so that may have affected sounds being carried. Some nights it was so irritating I’ve gotten up and closed the windows.

Today my excitement will be searching for new towels. There aren’t many stores left so selection is limited.
 
@hawkdon Check under your bed for your get up and go. That's where my motivation hides sometimes ;)

@Jules & @MarciKS Sounds like your lives are as exciting as mine. The fun never stops, right?

Lots of stuff got done in the garden. Moved some ornamental fescue and some dianthus and watered in fertilizer for the plants that got moved.

The sun went away, but it's very warm. Sun's supposed to come back out. When it does, I'll go back outside.

Laundry day today. Hope it's all dried, folded, hung up before the sun comes back.

Welp, Granny I found a bit of it and got some paperwork
finished and actualy WALKED it down to the mailbox for
pickup today!!!
 
@Jules How intriguing (chirp sound) - though, I get the irritating part. Ya know, about 6 years ago, I started hearing music when there was NO music. I finally googled it and it's a thing. Musical Ear Syndrome :ROFLMAO: Absolutely everything has a name... Are your neighbors close by? Could be someone's smoke alarm?

I'm better today than I was yesterday, but I could still use a getaway -- I just want to getaway from everything hahaha.... DH is going on a trip with his son this time next week, so I will get some much needed ME time. That is sure to help.

Something funny I remembered while I was out playing in the dirt. My hometown is very small but has an airport. The area is rural, and the closest other airports are more than 100 miles away. From time to time, wildlife critters wander onto the runway.

My MIL was flying back after a vacation and we were supposed to pick her up so we called to see if her flight was on time. (This was in the days before the internet.) The person who answered the phone told us that the plane was late and would be in "bye and bye" but that we should call again in 30 minutes.

When we called back, she said that a herd of deer was on the runway so the plane was going to land at the next closest airport and be bussed home.

My husband hears it too, so it would be a contagious syndrome. 🤭 The first night I thought it might be a smoke alarm. No one is away so it can’t be that and is only part of night. As long as it ends, I’ll be happy.
 
Well good peeps, here I am at this unholy hour, 4am
now, but I woke at 230am to the sound of thunder,
and its still going on, and it is raining now, but just
lightly...got a bit more soreness today, as I did a lot
of minor things yesterday, including that walk down
to my mailbox....I had dinner with Dolly Parton
last eve, yep her, that is her new frozen dinner which is in supermarkts now....but alas it was not
worth the electricity of my microwave, sadly...it
was bad.....My carecleaner lady will be here today,
so the old place will get spick and span !!!!I''m crazy, need more coffee....thanks for having me!!!:coffee::devilish::love::p
 
Well, it's a dull sort of day so, I am going to just relax and probably just have a stroll to the shop to collect a parcel and buy ice cream.

I have a pair of summer trousers to shorten so, I will probably get that done today.

I've been out doing constructive things in the garden. Now I'm tired. There's still sooo much to do to get ready to plant stuff. >le sigh<

DD and I will probably go to the garden center when she goes out to run some other errands. I'm looking for liatris bulbs.
 
well glad I stuck it out until 1 am of saturday am in WA - western oz to those without maps?? - my current internet problems seemed to have abated with - persistence ; supportive suggestions from yuz lot and a bit of sprinkled dust magic perhaps - and I can now check my mail and pay my bloody bills on time!!
