How are you today?

We went out and came back lighter in the billfold. I paid real money for the liatris bulbs but used gift cards for the bedding plants. Now I'm tired but need to plant. Why do I get more tired being out in the world than I do working in the garden?

It's 1pm and 81F. I hear thunder. The radar doesn't show anything coming. It's not just the real weathernerds that lie, it's the online weather, too.

actually got some sleep last night. had a double sleepy time tea and it knocked me out. too bad it had to end. new diet kinda had an effect on my digestive system. made for a rather iffy day. :poop:

It's to be 70 today for the high and 35 for the low. Might see some strong thunderstorms tonight.

I am sending you some flowers from our garden to cheer you up.

@astralcat The flowers are from top to bottom: Hibiscus, Canna, Bird of Paradise, Cotyledon Pendens, and Freesia.
PS, our nursery was wrong. Cotyledon Pendens are hanging in a basket and grown down, while ours are potted and grow upwards.
OK, Cotyledons come in many different varieties. Our's seems to be the Cotyledon Orbiculata.

If there’s any wallpapering involved, one of you definitely won’t.
No wallpapering, thank goodness, but we've already managed to make everyone at Lowes, Home Depot, Floor and More, Lumber Liquidators, and two bath design places think we're crazy and hide when we show up. Not to mention, bring us to the brink of a divorce.....and we're not even married.

How hard is it to pick out a new vanity top, flooring, toilet and sink? Here's a spoiler: HARD!

Thanks for the information. I just love this plant and I am going to see if my garden center has it or at least tell me where to get it. I will probably have to grow in indoors or just have it out in the summer months. (y)

I'm exhausted. Yesterday, Hubs and I spent 11 hours at the Emergency Room. His ankle was just killing him; turns out he fractured the ankle bone in a recent fall. It's tiring enough just waiting all that time--and don't you know, we ran out the door with the batteries low on both our phones, so no playing games on 'em to pass the time--but I also was tensed up from trying to keep his temper down so he wouldn't yell and storm out. (I've noticed before that if he feels himself starting to lose his temper, he'll get up and pace around; can't do that now with that sore ankle. So we played 20 Questions which helped him some except I despise that game so that wore me out too.)

Can you guess where I was this morning? If you guess either garden or garden center both are right, and you get a gold star⭐ for your chart.

Then I planted stuff. Got all the bulbs planted and then put in some bedding plants. Yay me.

It got too hot out there, and I got too tired to keep on keeping on. There are still weeds out there that need to meet their maker. Maybe tomorrow if we have another day of fake spring.

Nap time.🛌

The weather was grey today and a bit chilly. I went visiting and had a nice, chatty afternoon. My plan for this evening is to watch Netflix and eat ice cream :)

The weather is meant to be nice tomorrow so, I might just pop down to the Sunday market, have a browse and stop for coffee.

Have a nice evening everyone (y)

The problem with this bathroom re-do is trying to get someone who'll do it all. One place will do the vanity, but not the floor. Another place will do the floor but won't re-install a new toilet or install a new vanity.

Oh, there are places that will do it all, but usually you have to buy the stuff from them and the cost is astronomical. The advantage to that is, that they do everything in the right order.......put down the flooring and THEN install the toilet...OR... is it put down the toilet and install the flooring around it? Do you do the vanity first or the floor first. Natch, the vanity people say they should be first. Of course, they don't want to mess up a new floor putting in the vanity. Floor people say that the floor should be first. The plumber ain't talking.

The Spousal Equivalent wants to buy the flooring, vanity, sink, toilet himself and have someone install it. That could involve a lot of people, each with their hands out for money for the service call.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! If I didn't hate the vanity and the flooring so much, I'd just stick with what I have.

@CinnamonSugar I am sympathizing with you. Our mid-forties daughter is again living with us while studying full-time. We
parents have to tip-toe and be quiet so our daughter will succeed. And I can't remember how often we had to bail out our children.
Rather than listen to us, they had to reinvent the wheel. There ought to be a Senior Forum thread for parents to let off steam.

I am missing my full pack of Boxers, but at 90 y/o I can handle now only two pups. My rambunctious 17 m/o puppy by
himself is almost more than what I can handle (left pix far left.). On the right pix, only Heidi at the far right is still with me.

My 17 months old puppy Rex has become my self-appointed protector.

And Rex is protecting my 6 y/o Heidi just as much........................Heidi in turn snuggles on to Rex her guardian.

OK, my pups are my 24/7 companions and are sleeping next to my bed. I hike with the pups 1 hour in the morning in nature,
and walk around the block with them 1/2 hour in the evening. We also have a large yard where they can roam around.
