Gonna try to tough this out long enough to post so I won't worry anyone.
So I'm learning as I go with this new GF diet. I'm finding some cheaper products and some that I just can't eat because they are so disgusting. Daiya pizza is so gross! It tastes awful and the cheese smells like a stinky armpit. The Annie's brand gf bunny grahams were also nasty unless you like eating chocolate sand.
So I think I will be focusing on eating meat, potato, veggies and fruit. Alongside a few gf necessities. This is a very challenging learning curve for me. However, I am feeling better each day not having the gluten. My rash is almost gone. Last night a small spot of it flared up. Like about a 1 inch circle as opposed to half my arm. I'm hoping with time the aches and pains will settle down some.
I might have to continue using the Flexitol oatmeal shampoo for a bit on my hair because my scalp is still inflamed but it's better than it was. I am getting creative with my salads at work on the nights they have nothing but breaded foods that I can't eat at work.
Last night in an attempt to comfort myself I spent a bit searching the Animal Crossing design kiosk for old fashioned looking dresses for my Amish island girl. I also made a dress or two. I will see if I can find my mini sd card and get pics of the dresses I am making. Some of the folks that make clothes for their islands are very talented. I will likely go to some of the little treasure islands and pick up the things I need to help me design my island in the fashion I am looking at. I will do as much of the DIY furnishings as I can. They added quite a bit to the recent update. It's pretty cool.
I hafta start on the kitchen this weekend and I have a play date for a little survival play on Minecraft with a former coworker and maybe his wife. IDK if she's gonna play or not. I hope so. She's a cute little thing. Sadly she gets offended really easily. But she's kind of a special girl. She was a project search kid we had at work for a while. So I try to be extra nice to her.
I didn't sleep well last night. Got woke up by a city worker this morning. They dump gravel down the alley and another guy runs back and forth over it four or five times to level it into the ruts. Loud beeping and scraping and engine sounds. I now have a headache and I'm cranky. But by God the alley is flat! God forbid the trash guys should get jostled inside that big ol' truck!
And yes I am inserting caffeine into my bloodstream to help with the crankies.

Don't wanna take those to work with me. So, they have decided to give someone else the boss's job next month. She's leaving the 17th of April and he will be here the 20th. Which means the current supervisor will not be getting it. I guess they want to groom her for other things. She is qualified to fill some other positions in the hospital that will be opening up soon and will hafta decide whether she wants to stay with us or transfer to another dept.
So they say anyway. I think they decided to go with someone else because staffing has gone downhill since she's been in charge. We had to contract out for more people to help because we were so overwhelmed from being so short staffed. It's not possible to keep an entire hospital clean with an exhausted skeleton crew 7 days a week. Before they got us help we were doing 2 or 3 teamouts a night plus extra areas and helping with checkouts as well as trying to do our own areas.
We are gaining a new boss that is above the new director we're getting. Not sure what job that is. He is in charge of housekeeping, maintenance and something else. This man in particular is very nice so that might help too. He speaks highly of the man taking the boss's place so we'll see. Our biggest issue that isn't helping with the staffing issues is the way our coworkers treat each other and talk about each other. That and the laziness on the job. I can't do my job very well if I'm having to do other people's crap too.
Gonna go work on another dress for my game. Have a good day friends.
