How are you today?

Just relaxing. Not much more I can do. Waiting for the physical therapy day. I sure hope it works well 🤞. I can't live much longer like this. I'm referring to how I have to use the cane to walk but after 10 feet of walking I have to sit ( it hurts a lot.) or lean on something.

My lady friend came over last Monday afternoon and cleaned kitchen floor, vacuumed living room, and took out all my garbage bags and boxes. Also she got the mail for me. I was glad.

@hearlady The only perennials that I can think of are mainly bulb plants, but after they bloom, they're done for the season. Other perennials, like Obedient plant, speedwell, beardtongue (penstemon) and yarrow, require deadheading and tending to. I also like gerbera daisies, but they require deadheading are prone to fungus.

DD likes kalanchoes and puts hers in the garage during the winter, takes them outside on warmish winter days or when it's warm and rainy. They also need deadheading, though.

OTOH, annuals bloom all season long. If your beds get a lot of sun, I'd say sunpatiens (not impatiens) don't require anything other than water. No deadheading, don't lend themselves to fungus and get really big and showy. Once they're planted, you're done.

My luck with New Guinea sunpatiens has been spotty. Sometimes they up and die for no particular reason, but regular sunpatiens do fine. If they're all labeled "sunpatiens" you can tell the difference by the leaves. The ones with real dark leaves are New Guinea; the ones with just regular green leaves are the ones that I prefer.

They'll bloom from the time you plant them until the first frost. Plant all the same color or mix the colors. They're all pretty, just don't confuse them with impatiens because impatiens want mostly shade.

Thanks! I grew Sunpatiens a long time ago and I remember they were very nice. I'll look for those.
I think I'm going to move a couple of coneflowers (echinacea) to that planter also. They are in the front where they don't get as much sun so they get lanky.
I won't confuse the patiens. I always plant IMpatiens in shady spots around the yard.

How am I???? I'm up at 330 am which is WAYYY too early for me1!!
the damned arthritis kicked in yest afternoon late and has gotten worse,
that is what got me up.....I managed to get a pain patch on each shoulder,
wondering about patch on my Right hand too !! Have a great day if you
want, I think I will sulk awhile, but not here.....love you gang!!!!;);):cool::love::coffee::devilish:

I was writing a reply about staying in bed and resting but I see the pain is what's keeping you up. Can you add the pain patch then lay back down and rest until six? Maybe keep the patches on your side table?
 
After 2 days of real food, my shakiness is almost gone as well as the nervousness.
I even walked in a straight line to get my coffee this morning instead of swerving to the right slightly.
I am feeling so relieved! We take so much for granted, like walking straight, never realizing it until you can't.
Notice those small things because they all add up to huge things.🌅
 
So if the Sabbath is really on Saturday, that means God rested on Saturday, not Sunday?

It's already too hot to be outside. The semi-dwarf zinnias are planted. I dunno why they're called semi-dwarf because the package says they get 24" tall. They were free, though, so I found a spot for them. I have lots more spots for lots more flowers, but I don't have lots more 💰 for lots more flowers. Ima just gonna spread mulch in the spots that are sort of bare where there would be flowers if I had more 💰.
