My wife is coming home from her pilgrimage to Greece and Turkey with a Catholic church group.

At this moment, she is flying off the Coast of Norway and entering the Atlantic Ocean on her 13 hour non-stop flight from Istanbul to
Los Angeles. She will see next the Coast of Iceland, then cross Greenland, the Hudson Bay, and flying over Winnipeg and Las Vegas.

Left: The most important place of her visit was House of Virgin Mary - Light a Candle | Wishing Wall | Ultimate Guide an hour from Ephesus/Turkey.
Right: Spending the last night of her trip in Thessaloniki/Greece. View from her room over the swimming pool, the harbor, and the Aegean Sea.

Right: While my wife was gone, I took care of her garden.

What is the cause? Man - accidental or pyro? It’s terrifying, whatever the reason

Be thankful you have help. There’s a shortage of workers or allotted time given around here.
The answer we are getting is because of the draught conditions and the wind carrying flames. It must be someone burning something and it is catching the brush and woods on fire. One lady suggested it was the homeless in our town that are living in the forest and set it on fire.

Anyway, today there is a lot of smoke smell outside. We are surrounded by woods (forests) in our town and also in surrounding towns.

Yes, the fire department and forest department with helicopters dropping water does help. It is nice that the animals are taken care of, too. Fires are under investigation as to how they were started.

Good morning peeps of SF..

Another glorious sunny morning here. 🌼 🌷 ☀️.albeit very windy....

I'm staying home today to rest after yesterdays jaunt, and steroid injection in my hip...the site of the injection is still quite sore today

Another photo from yesterday in the immediate surroundings of my Doctors surgery...

Have the best Wednesday you can folks....
Rest up Holly. Feel better soon

Following my cardiologist's order and attempted to take my blood pressure twice today. This morning I had to reset the machine with date, time and volume of lady who gives instructions. I was going to take my pressure last night, but she was speaking too loudly and my son was asleep. The pressure this morning was too high...higher than yesterday. Maybe the BP med hadn't kicked in yet.

Tonight, the settings were gone (because there's no battery in it, which I should have realized). I fiddled with it and couldn't get the settings to work nor could I get the battery chamber open. Then I tried taking the BP and got an error message 3 times. WTF?!! By then I was quite frustrated....not a good time to take the BP, even if I could get it to work. Tomorrow is another day.

Another day post processing a few images I'd missed and manually html coding almost the whole day. Completed the fourth of five web pages with just one more to go that I ought complete in a day or two. Then will spend a few days re-reading, rechecking, and reviewing it before bothering to upload what will be over 230 files into the 8100+ files of over 2.4 gigabytes already there within 57 folders.

Hey peeps of SF...

It's another glorious day today... 🌞 🌞 and no wind like we had yesterday ...

It's mid-day here now... and I'm epecting a call from my DD any minute ... once she's called, I'll go out and get the hedges trimmed .. I really hate that job, but I don't like them to get straggly otherwise it's a much bigger job, so i keep on top of it all the time. It's really the hedges where I miss my gardener coming the most....

I'm going to have to find another gardener before too much longer I think... I can mow the lawns myself but the hedges are high so I have to stand on a ladder which makes things more difficult.

Have a super day whatever you're doing....today 🌷

Morning all, on early walk at 6:50 I walked halfway up the street turned around and walked back around the building as the birds were chirping, sun was rising, temp was 50 with no wind
Its going to be another beautiful sunny day here temps in the 60's
I'm having weekly dinner in the dining room with the guys at 5:30, really haven;t seen them much this week, it will be a good chance to catch up what's been going on with them
Everybody have a great day

We ended a 4 day camping trip yesterday in Yellowstone btwn winter storms. The wx was about perfect reaching 73°F on Tuesday afternoon and overnight lows in the 50's. (Mind you this is at 6300' in April?!?) We managed to see a few animals, including 3 wolves and a grizzly bear, and had a great time enjoying the virtually empty park. There were a few newborn buffalo calves aka "red dogs" because of their red fur, and most animals moving to their summer ranges. Buffalo calving season starts in earnest in late March and runs through July; although reportedly 80% are born in a 40 day window btwn late April and May.

Our route home brings us by Craters of the Moon @Pepper, where it was blowing a steady 30mph and gusting to 50 yesterday. Driving against the wind caused a serious mileage drop in the last 150 miles of the the 1000 mile trip.

Back to training and the business of life today.

It's just after 3pm now... the temps are only supposed to be 64... but it feels much hotter, everyone was saying the same who passed the time of day with me as they walked by as I was cutting the hedges...

I had only intended to cut the front hedges.. but I cut one side of the rear hedges as well... before the battery on the hedge trimmer ran out.... so I've got that on charge now, and I'll get the other side done another day...

I also mowed the lawns , it didn't need it but it was the quickest and easiest way to mow up all the hedge trimmings....

I went downstairs and washed clothes around 4 a.m., but did not start drying them until mid morning. Laundry day is tiring so I relaxed for a while after eating breakfast. I put most of the clothes away. I cleared off my desk and went through grocery receipts, which I save for an insane amount of time and threw most of them away. Deja got a kick out of chasing the ones I balled up and threw on the floor for her. 😸

I wound up napping longer than expected this afternoon, into the evening. Tonight I cleaned the bathroom including the tiles in the shower. I did not clean the floor, which I'll likely do tomorrow.

It's a rain day, for me. It's a nice rain, no bad storms or high winds. It started during the night and is expected to end by noon-ish. That's good for me because I live on a dirt road and now it won't be so dusty.

Like most Friday's, I don't have any big plans. I'll do little things around here, but mostly take it easy. After all, tomorrow is a skating day and I want to save my energy! 😁

Good morning...good morning..... ☀️ 🌼 🌷
Well, thanks, @hollydolly — now I have the Beatles song stuck in my head! ;)

We are looking at a windy, wet weekend that may include yet more snow. I have a lot of tasks to get caught up on, such as a long-overdue cleaning of the refrigerator, so that works out pretty well.

In addition to the usual work, I'll be meeting my friends for coffee later, and tomorrow, after my weekly AA meeting, going out to lunch with some friends from that group.

I hope everyone's day/evening is going well.

Happy Friday, all. I managed all my errands during the week and my house is sparkly clean, so it should be an easy-breezy day. A nice day ahead weather-wise.

Might get a jump on sketching out my business ordering, but I'm delaying placing most of orders until May 10th because I don't want to be wrangling 50 or more big, heavy cartons by myself.

DH is getting a lumbar epidural (lower back) back today and will have to drastic limit any lifting activity for a couple of weeks while it takes full effect.

Hope all can make today a good one!

@hollydolly
I hope you don't mind me asking, but how is your hip?
No absolutely not... feel free... If I talk about something on here, then it's up for anyone to ask any questions.. thanks for even thinking about me..

I'm just amazed tbh... normally it would take a couple of weeks to notice the difference in pain levels , but this has worked very quickly, altho' the site of the jab is still sore, the actual hip pain has all but gone. I was able to mow and trim all the hedges yesterday, which involved a lot of walking.. and today.. I drove about 60 miles in total..no Pain in my right hip, which is the big problem for me when I'm drivng because it's the gas pedal leg.. so it has been hurting like Billy-o when I've been driving, but today... no Pain... and I was in and out of the car lots of times as well (y)

Thank you for asking..long may it continue....
