Good morning, boys and girls on this Cinco de Mayo. We're having green enchiladas, refried beans and rice for supper. Can you guess who's cooking?
It's gonna be another pleasant day around here so I'll be heading out to my garden paradise in a few to plant the pentas that DD bought for me yesterday. There's still mulch to spread, depending on whether I'm feeling like it after the pentas are planted.

Good morning all!
I woke up at 4:30am after a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad dream. Couldn't get the images out of my head even after turning the TV on to a gentle nature documentary. After an hour I gave up and started my day. Limiting myself to decaf this morning in hopes of catching an early nap. It's no a little after 10am and I'm fading fast.
Only supposed to get to the mid-60s today, but will warm up gradually until it hits the mid-80s over the weekend, then will cool back down to highs in the 70s. Very pleasant weather this time of year.
When people ask why housing is so expensive in Southern California, most of us shrug and say, "We pay a premium for our weather."

The weather has been exceptionally lovely! I especially like the big white puffy clouds after the bit of rain last night!

, that was a mistake!!! Called the co that is in charge of my medical'
alert system, they had a charge for about 60bucks on there that I knew was
incorrect, 1st clerk hums&haws, and sez she has to xfer me to another
dept, second lady could not solve the issue so I was xfrrd to the
orignal dept, who of course still didn't help me, I finally just told the
sweet thing I woul;d send in the whole payment, and they can issue
refunds to ME !!!@@@What should have taken 10 mins took at least 1/2 hour!!!!!

I'm doing well so far. It's a pretty day, my peeps are good and I am relaxed. Having a lot of fun watching playoff hockey with husband in the evenings.
Boyfriend and I were going to watch a movie this afternoon, but I ended up Whatsapp chatting with eldest son who lives in Florida. That was nice.

Caught a THREE HOUR nap and feel great! DH & Ozzy-dog stayed quiet throughout. As most of you know, it isn't a stretch for Ozzy-dog. Poor guy... we've had him almost four years and he's yet to bark a single time.
Anyway, since I woke up I've been tackling all manner of chores. Feeling like a new woman.
Defrosted some of my sauce-only pizza and am enjoying a yummy salad pizza as I catch up here.
What a difference good sleep makes!

I'm trying to appreciate all the parts of my days and not rush past them as they seem to be going by in a blur as I get older. Sheesh.

Dear me. Bad weather rolling our way. Flooding. Wind. We might even get a tornado or three. There are already tornado warnings to our west even though the forecast said we wouldn't get any. Around noon it was a "low risk" of tornadoes and rain not starting until 9ish. Now it's rain of biblical proportions in the next hour or so and lasting through the night and a high risk of tornadoes.
The garden will love the rain. It won't love a tornado if that happens. I won't love a tornado, either.
Is it okay if I brag on DS? He sent me a picture of his newest business card. His title is "AI Engineer" for one of the world's largest non-religious charitable organizations. How'd he get the job? He was recruited personally by...are you ready for this?...the CEO. He's known her for years, and one morning out of the blue she called him to invite him to apply.
Don't get all bent by "AI". This organization is developing their own proprietary AI because it's gotta be 100% right.

Oh, my. DS just told me there was no "applying" for that job. She invited him; he accepted. Just like that. I'd be impressed even if he wasn't my kid.
I tackled the can of worms in my spare room craft and Pc room.
Tossed out a full bag of useless stuff I will never use again.
Rearranged the furniture and cleaned all the baseboards, vacuumed
like I had the devil on my tail. Something I been putting off for way too
long.
Wish I knew someone close who likes to decorate candles. I have stuff for that I would love to be shed of.
Since you have to use a blow dryer to apply the papers and embellishments I doubt it's a good idea to donate
to a place with kids or elderly who may burn themselves.
Any ideas? Easy to craft but the dryer and push pins, not so user friendly for some ages.

I cringe at thinking about the calls I will get for days. I have seen the arguments over free stuff on there.

Good to see you’re giving them to the school.
For free stuff around here the usual method is to tell them to pick a number between 1 to 20 and you’ll draw it at the end of the day. That number gets it. Period. I don’t want to hear any ‘heartbreaking’ stories.
I DM them, put it on the front steps and tell them to pick it up by the end of the next day. Period. If they don’t, I don’t announce it. Just pick a new number and give them the same chance.
