I'm 71. And I don't give a XXX if anyone knows about it.

What is the age when you don't give a XXXX about how old you are? For me, it was 71. Before that, I have to admit, I was reluctant to admit my age. It made me feel old. Now, ahh, the hell with you! It was dumb not to admit my age. Have you reached the age, when you don't care about how old you are. Are you still thinking you can pass for 87, when you're 91??

Actually you can be celebrating the 31st anniversary of your 40th birthday! Pick an age you loved, then transform to anniversaries! You have earned the right to do certain things the way you want to.....

I will be 72 in a couple of months. I never cared if anyone knew how old I was in past years and certainly not now. Just don't call me honey or sweetie now that I'm older. I despise that. Now that I think about it, I did care when I tried to get into the movies on a child's ticket and I was past the age limit and again when I tried to get a senior discount when my hubby did because he is 7 years older than me. Probably shouldn't admit that.lol

Since none of us can do anything about our age, why waste time or breath worrying about it?

I couldn't care less about what others might think about my age. I have an advantage over a lot of folks who will unlikely reach
MY age and still get around without canes/walkers etc., take no pills for any reason and not fussy about what I eat or drink.
Ask me again next year on my 94th birthday.

I'm finally at the age that I like myself the way I am. I'm 63 and up until a few years ago , I was always worried about my weight, my looks , my clothes , my hair . I don't even think about it now . I'm finally comfortable in my own skin !

My only worry is that I don't end up looking like those guys you see now and again shuffling along the road, three or for days beard growth, hair that hasn't been combed, trouser zip agape and not giving a XXXX.

I'd like to think I would give enough of a XXXX not to let myself go quite that much! Oh - 67 next birthday!

I'm 70 years, 6 months, and 14 days... but who's counting??!!! :) Yes, could care less how old I am. Except on the golf course. Constantly have fun reminding the young flat-bellies... those youngsters only in their 60's... how they are letting such an old geezer beat them! Carded a 77 this morning!!! Cannot believe this old body has held up as well as it has and that I'm able to even play golf. Even on the bad days on the course, there are so many who cannot enjoy the outdoors due to physical issues or financial issues. To have an enjoyable few hours each morning with some really great guys... playing for quarters where the most you can win or lose is about 75 cents... is such a blessing. I'm next to oldest in the group. So, I have no trouble "explaining" to the rest how pathetic they are when they have to hand 50 cents over to this old gent!!
Other than that, I never think... or care... about my age. Your age is more defined by where you are mentally, emotionally, and physically than chronologically.

I never have told you before Falcon, but you are my HERO.

I'm full of admiration for people like you falcon ,We are friends with a couple who llike us , enjoy social ballroom dancing weekly
He is 94 and his wife is 93 .They dance three times a week ,and drive up to,and from the Gold Coast ( (Queensland) where they go each winter to escape a little of South Australia's winter .He drives up and back which is about 2500 km each way because no one will allow him to hire a car because of his age ..he's a far better driver than allot of people .

We will be heading up there in July for a month. ( we are in autum now so we are heading into winter)

We don't have snow in SA ,but the winds are fairly chilly ,our daytime temps in winter are 8/9 c ...where Queensland is mid 20's ..

Anyway I'm 71 hubby 70 ,so we will continue dancing to keep fit in mind and body ,and no if someone asks our age we tell them ..we don't care

I never had a problem accepting my age or telling anyone how old I was. I'm 64 now and very happy to have my health and a good life after losing two siblings at ages 30 and 42 who never had the privilege of their golden years and retirement. Never ashamed of my age, better than the alternative.

I'm 70 and I go three to four days at a time without shaving. When I was in High School and my hair was black I had five o'çlock shadow by noon, but now my beard is so white as mine is it doesn't show that much. As for combing my hair, what hair? Well actually I have as much hair as I did when I was young. It's just moved from my head to other places on my body.

I remember when I was 18. I thought 21 was over the hill. I remember when I was 29 years and 364 days old. No longer could I say I was twenty something. So I lied. I was 29. For awhile, it worked. But then people would say, "Oh! Come on". I remember when those SOBs at AARP sent me insurance quotes. I'm 71. That's not super old. But if I die today or 30 years from now, it is irrelevant.

I resent and hate when pharmacists and doctor receptionists ask my birth date. It is none of their business!
I feel like asking them for theirs. But that is how they identify me.. I just tell them my
month and day.It is a standard custom in hospitals.
They have not the foggiest idea how it feels to be that age and they don't care.

I have never hidden my age, I can't think of a reason
why I should have to and I mean all through my life.

Mike.

This ... and altho' I don't hide my age on forums ( 67 ) I don't bandy it about in RL, my friends know my birthday and my age ... it's obvious that I'm over 21, so no need for anyone else to ask ... unless it's for legal requirements, I never ask others how old they are as I don't flippin' care! young, old, I take people as I find them

I don't mind in the lest if people know my age. I have asked at restruants that gave me the evil eye, if they want to see my ID but they always decline.
