The 'ketchup' thread made me think of this.
My sister's husband slathered everything in ketchup. It went on his eggs in the morning- it went on just about everything. You could spend hours perfecting a meal only to watch that guy drench the entire thing in ketchup.
This kind of thing is a real blow to a cooks ego & if a cook loves the attention they get from people enjoying what they have cooked ..then people like 'ketchup man' sitting at their table covering their masterpiece in a layer of ketchup gravy can be very annoying. Turns out his mother burned all their dinners when they were growing up.
I have a son in law that I adore. He's like a son to me. He has one habit though that makes me twitch...he covers almost everything on his plate in ranch dressing. He brings a giant bottle of ranch dressing when he comes to dinner. He leaves bottles of ranch dressing here just in case he gets caught out without it . This guys mother was also not a very good cook, so I'm wondering if these people just developed these habits in self defense
I love my son in law, but the ranch dressing thing all over everything is hard to watch when you have slaved over dinner.
Any eating habits that annoy you?
