Lara's daughter's permanent home is inland, near Lara. Her daughter's beach house is on the shore. (I hope)
 
Aww, thank you Keesha. I'm just now seeing this. You're sweet. But I've been spending most of my time trying to find the latest damage surveys of my daughter's beach. Have found nothing until just a couple of hours ago...an aerial view from a chopper but it just missed my daughters property...unless it's just gone :distrust:.

All's well here where I live and I had no flooding, no fallen trees, and miraculously, not even a power outage but have been consumed with getting hurricane updates.

Jennifer should know sometime Wednesday about her particular oceanfront property as she has a friend there that lives nearby and will check on her house. We do know the sand dunes are completely flattened and lots of large boards strewn all over the beach...which I think came from Sneads Ferry's Pier that went under (just north). I hope it didn't come from homes. The boards are all uniform and do look like those pilings that beach houses sit up on top of.

It's really something that there is such widespread damage and yet most everyone is okay without a scratch.

19 have lost their lives in NC though. Sad.
 
I’m glad to see you are ok as are your girls. I kniw you were very worried about one of them. Maybe Jennifer.
19 dead. That’s terrible though.
Everyone is accounted for.
 
Looks like they've arrested some of the looters of that Family Dollar in Wrightsville Beach,N.C
Cannot wrap my mind around why you take advantage of a desperate situation for your own greed...

Thanks Keesha, just got in a few hours ago from our camping trip. Had a great time and looong drive back, good to be home again! :)

Lara, I didn't have very much radio reception where I was, but I did hear bits and pieces about the storm in N. Carolina and thought of you. Glad you're okay and have had no damage and hope your daughter's property survived and you and your family stay safe. Rest in peace to all who have lost their lives, sympathy to their families. :(
