My husband also changes the 5 smoke detectors batteries on the day that we change the clocks. We also have 2 detectors that are hard wired on each floor of our home.

Once I turned 18 and during the months I was living at home and not in college I did help with groceries. It wasn't much from what I remembered. My parents also wanted me to save money so once I was out of college I could move out I believe. I did just that and shortly after that I was married.

I do Thanksgiving on the actually Thursday. My oldest and youngest daughters live near and will come and bring a dish, but my two middle daughters live in California and only are able to come back East for Christmas so we will Skype with them at some point during the day.
