Bad car crash at the Yokine Primary School on Woodrow Avenue

2 fire trucks, 2 ambulances, 4 police cars and a police cycle Looks like a car got hit coming out of the car park. One of the vehicles is a total mess. Jaws of life being used to cut the rear door off the worse damaged car. Would have been picking up a child from school. I hope no one is...

Are modern LED headlights on cars dangerous?

I find them incredibly dangerous. Momentary blindness, travelling at night on a narrow road doing 100 kmh is fraught with the possibility of running off the road. I limit my nighttime, country driving to nil, if I can.

This far south - Perth, just a lot of rain and some strong winds. No need to venture out. Final game of cricket finals will be washed out.

I have an idea to save a house from burning down during bushfires

Install a retractable house cover. Made of fireproof material, it would be hidden away underground and a and flicking a switch would see it rise from the ground, in two parts, and cover the whole house. Vision a retractable roof as those on observatories. This one would begin underground and...

I have a friend who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease

Ashley has made it home after 24 days in Hospital. He looks better than when I last saw him on Friday. He uses a walking frame to get around, and Gail is by his side 24 hours a day. With luck he will not have another fall in the near future.

Some more of my Native bird photos

Most likely the Platypus will make an appearance. I saw one in the wild at Pearl Creek on the west coast of Tasmania in 1979?
