Sunlight vs. Flu and Covid and More

This is one of the reasons why I do so much exercise outside. Try to avoid the high UV part of the day though. Being in nature has mental health benefits as well.

Fire in a Massachusetts assisted living facility kills 9 injures 30

According to the residents, the staff abandoned the building. Some were seen running out of the building into the parking lot. Gonna be some lawsuits over that, for sure.

Do you have one sided Friendships?

None of my friendships are one-sided. I don’t do that anymore. I am not going to be someone‘s narcissistic supply.

What exercise have you done today?

I did about 4 miles on the nature trail this morning. I start off before 6am and it is still about 85F and 50% humidity. Not pleasent. I saw a couple new homeless camps on the way. I don’t know how they survive it. It’s been 105F-113F for at least a couple weeks.

What to know about the $6,000 ‘senior deduction

Whoops, I started a new thread and should have put it here. Oh, well. All I said in the other thread was it didn’t benefit me, but I am happy for those who do get a savings. (y)

Is having to arrive 3 hours before departure efficient?

You’ve got that right ( adding time for customs). I remember coming back from South America once, getting tied up in customs for the longest time. This was before Global Entry (something I would highly encourage getting if you are a regular international traveller). They brought out the sniffing...

Is having to arrive 3 hours before departure efficient?

I used to fly a lot. I was in Alaska Airlines highest MVP status and Delta’s second highest. Also flew on Southwest, American, and Frontier and many small commuters. You have to know the airports. They are not monolithic. I am sure it’s changed since 2017, but at the time, for example - Denver...

Do you think ex's can be just friends?

Where does one draw the line between a transactional relationship an unconditional one? I don’t know. Someone smarter than me will have to answer that one.

Do you think ex's can be just friends?

Some are addicted to the high and validation of the “new.” It’s narcissistic behavior, mostly. With some immaturity thrown in.

Letter from SS announces 90% of people will owe no taxes on SS income.

#$@&%&@! I ran the numbers on it ($6000 deduction) and I still have to pay taxes on SS Income. It’s my pension and investment income bumping me up too high. I’m in the 10%. Oh, well. All in all, I would rather have the pension. I am happy if others get a break, though. :)

Do you think ex's can be just friends?

    Right. Some call it boundaries.

Do you think ex's can be just friends?

That language went away with no-fault divorce (which I am fine with). It’s now mostly used in the context of religion. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Not a lawyer…obviously.

Do you think ex's can be just friends?

Agreed. Their addictions come before everything and everyone else. It has them by the throat and seldom lets go. I learned a lot by attending Al-Anon.

What exercise have you done today?

It was supposed to be an off day, but I did my weights routine. Got bored waiting for a breakfast appointment.
