My hair went grey in my late twenties due to stress. You write like it's a choice to be a negative person. I see myself in all of your points. But i don't choose to be unhappy. It's just the conclusion i've drawn from the evidence (life) i've been given. I knew a girl who was really...
Under pressure, i find myself saying the same things my parents did. For example, after a social event my dad would say, "I thoroughly enjoyed myself," if he'd had a good time. I caught myself saying this the other day.
I actually PREFER the Walmart Great Value bargain brand frozen mac + cheese entrees over the more expensive brand name ones. When i was knitting i PREFERRED the inexpensive big box store acrylic yarn over the expensive fancy yarns other knitters were mad about. "A fool and her money are soon...
I play on ISC.RO. It stands for "Internet Scrabble Club" and it's out of Romania. It's been around for years. There's a new site which is gaining a lot of traction at Woogles.io. It's written by American coders and is really doing well, they run tournaments on it and everything. The online...
The soundtrack to my favorite dance film "Amelia" features songs by Lou Reed, but reimagined by David Lang. It's online. The dancing is very intense and you may find it zany, but it's interesting to hear the songs. "I'm Waiting for my Man" is the first song.
What REM songs do you like, SeaBreeze? I loooooooooooooove "Orange Crush"! I know all the lyrics, even the spoken part. I like "Losing My Religion" too. And "Leaving New York" is so pretty. I like that ironic one, "The One i Love." Great band, agreed!
Cool! "Quincunx" comes up in David Foster Wallace's epic novel "Infinite Jest." It is used to describe the arrangement of five landscaped trees. It would be an awesome Scrabble word!
@Paco Dennis:
Yeah, Scrabble can be a hard game. I just play against dumb bots now so i don't have to worry about losing. It's just to pass the time and keep my mind active, really. There's not much you can do with all vowels but exchange.
I like Keanu Reeves too. I liked him in "Point Break." I saw him recently in a movie on Netflix about anorexia. He played the psychiatrist. Have you seen it?
