Life In A Senior Affordable High-Rise

My daughter was in a place where the upstairs tenant would sometimes play his drums during the middle of the night! He finally moved out.

As seniors, meaning we've lived a long time, have you noticed weather changes?

I haven't lived in one place long enough I suppose, but I have been at my present location for 23 years. I do think it likely weather has changed in our short life spans. There is a great deal of variability in the processes which cause weather. I don’t doubt it has changed, and will continue...

    I love being retired!

A dog is a beautiful creature. They provide companionship, amusing moments, and give us humans a purpose in taking care of them. They are soft and furry, a joy to rub and touch. Yes, they are kind of like children, needing help, guidance, correction, cleaning, proper feeding, brushing...

I wrote to Australia's number one Peanut Butter producer

That is a very detailed answer. Someone has a lot of time on their hands. However, the information seemed accurate and addressed your questions. I am a great lover of natural peanut butter, however I think it tastes superior without the salt added.

How would you reply? read below.

People are usually not that direct, but if it happened to me, I would probably react coldly. But I have a flexible nature and would probably try and inquire what their issue was. Could be I have done something to offend them

    Beets and Blood Pressure

I don know, but fresh cooked beats with a little butter may be more tolerable. They are also loaded with fiber which helps a lot of systems in the body.

Poor 'Balance' How to deal with?

I have noticed in the last several years my balance has suffered. Mainly when I close my eyes, seems like I start loosing it so I always reach out with a hand to secure myself before I close my eyes. I am physically active and in reasonable shape. Well come to think of it, kinda tough to walk...

    Fluorouracil Treatment from Dermatologist

Yes have had that last year. Really helped, but was embarrassing to go out in public for a few weeks. The medication lasts a long time so keep it on hand.

Anyone else sometimes have trouble keeping down what they eat?

I have had that Mediterranean food a few times. It is delicious but seems to push my digestive system towards the limits of its' capabilities.

Birthday of Dietrich Bonhoeffer in 1906.

He was active in the resistance movement. I am not sure he actually helped organize the plot, but it has been a great while since I read a bio on him.

Things you don’t have/have gotten rid of, because you have no place to store them?

I have learned to moderate what I buy, because like you, where would I put it? I am told, and I see the practicality of it, that at my stage of life I should be downscaling. I do still live in my own house and it can yet accommodate more stuff if i choose to follow that practice.

    The White Coat Syndrome

There is much that can be said about this subject. My sense is that it is a fairly widespread problem and it is intertwined with many contributory reasons, fear of sickness and death, poor feelings about one's self, genuine health worries, fear of the unknown, as so on. Since there is no...

    How Did You Sleep?

Last night slept much better than usual! Despite using for the second night a mouth guard to prevent teeth grinding. This is on my dentist's recommendation, and I am giving it a go for now.
