YES Holly. It was during those years. I was 9 years old when the war started in September 1939 and we were machine gunned in the hop fields three weeks into the war. Then bombed out twice during the London Blitz.

No but both my brothers served in WW2 . One was 4 years in Burma in the RAF and the other on in the Army for nearly two years in North Africa, plus my uncle was also in North Africa.

I have got to go and find my mind before I can even contribute to anything.

Its the same in the UK Sunny and its about time it was scrapped. It was worse still in this country during the war because it was two hours instead of one. This was to help regarding the bombing raids so that we had extra daylight and any enemy planes could be seen. We only had about 4 hours...
