My father was a harsh man in many ways. I was never beat per sae, but once at 15 came very close. The reason I think is because he was raised harshly himself. He did have a bad habit of pecking me on the head with his wadded up finger and it hurt profoundly. There again his father did same thing.

I think it was Francis Bacon who said... only three people can keep a secret- if 2 of them are dead. As for my self- yes and no it depends on the circumstance. What irritates me, is the person who asks you to keep a secret,but then later someone else comes and tells you that persons secret...

@Rosemary2025 - as one other posted, slow deep breathing can help BP is up and down all day. I can just think about BP and make mine go up. The mind is powerful in more ways than one. Focus on other things, but do keep in touch with doctor for now.
