Single serve of fried chips too large to consume

I have that often when dining out, and I see that others do as well. Such a huge amount of food wastage!

    Time to replace the freezer?

Good idea. Temp is fine right now.

    Time to replace the freezer?

Our frost-free freezer is now 13 years old, and I don't know what the expected life of a freezer is really. I'm feeling inclined to replace it at 15.

    Time to replace the freezer?

When is the right time to change a freezer? Do I leave it until it breaks down and I lose everything, or do I replace it while it's still working perfectly well?

Why I am still using Windows 7

For me, I gave up Windows years ago. I'm a Linux Mint person now, and I love it. No endless updates, it works quickly, reliably, simply and no problems whatsoever. Highly recommended.

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

Personally, I have found that the MRI staff are really not helpful at all - which surprises me really. Mind you, if these scans really have to be done, perhaps there is not much they can say.

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

So, if you cough at the end, does it have to be done fully again?

A small acoustic neuroma on the watch-and-wait thing.

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

I'm not surprised. I have a small acoustic neuroma and have heard about that as a treatment. I'm just hoping I never need to have that done!

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

Wow, I'm impressed. Sometimes 10 minutes feels like an hour to me. It's all in the mind isn't it.

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

The nurse just tells me to close my eyes, but it doesn't work for me - I know it's still there. But some have a mirror so seeing out is possible, but I completely lose track of time. Wish they had a visible clock.

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

I think that is an interesting point actually. So many tests and scans etc. are done, but the treatment is no different or even none at all, which we may already have been aware of. Perhaps they just enjoy torturing us?

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

Yes, I have heard of some people actually going to sleep. I should be able to do that, and will try - 'cos sleeping with my wife's snoring is always good practice. :-)

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

Just as noisy I'm afraid. How people manage with 60 minutes or more is beyond me! I have found CT scans a doddle, but apparently not good enough.

    MRI scans and claustrophobia

I have managed to find a local hospital that has a scanner which is 'more open' than the old ones, so not quite so bad. But I still struggle with it, and I find that music just makes the noise worse. Quite honestly I dread the things.
