Family Estrangements....the pain of it all!

This is spot on. This is more the normal now. It’s a 50/50 give and take. If you don’t get some sort of % back it’s time to focus somewhere else. It does hurt a bit but life is to short.

Well welcome to you as well. Yes I love focaccia and make it quite often. Bread is so simple, flour, water, salt and yeast. New guy on the block

Hi everyone, I’m Steve, 63 3/4 and live just outside of Boston, MA. I’m happy to find this forum, looking to make a few friends along the way. I am working part time getting ready to retire at 65 or 67, depending on how I feel. Longevity doesn’t exist in my family so I want to enjoy myself more...

I'm tired of trying to relate to people three decades younger

I know what you mean, I have noticed some of my friends retired and just slowed down. Now to me they look older because they act older. I like to relax like the next person but if I do it to often then I feel older than I should. I guess it’s all how you come across to others. You are correct I...

Torn as to when and what

Did anyone here ever do any small clubs or meet ups with people that have retired to plan days, events, dinners, BBQ's, parties of 4, 6, or 8 people? Would be a nice thing to do. Just wondering if anyone has done that in the past? I don't have many friends that will be retiring soon so having a...

    Meditation and Weight Loss

I am new here. Spent some time reading some great posts and looking forward to making some new friends. I am very interested in weight loss and have lost (and gained) a many a pound in my 62 years. I believe the key to weight loss is not only willpower but you also have to be in touch with your...
