I agree with utilities ours are private also and do a good job I think city issues come from size Being in construction all my life I have noticed towns under 20 thousand work well and fast towns / cities over that size turn into molasses glad now we live in a small town 1500 people...
They are efficient units. From what I have heard We installed a big commercial unit on a job and just testing it for 8 hrs used 250 gal of diesel glad not getting that bill
Now thats handy and you could use it for other things if needed. We do have a 5000 watt in the camper ( not portable) if we had to we could move into it so far we haven't had to do that
We thought about getting a generac. In last 5 years power has only been out 3 or 4 times and longest was only about 2 hrs plus we don't have natural gas or LP. Was going to cost more to get gas or LP set up than the price of the generac so we scaped the idea
When crews are trimming trees for your power comp have you ever seen the big chainsaw they hang down from a chopper. I saw this in S.C. few years back. They were clearing right away it was fascinating to watch them
Power comp here also trims trees in town most are on city right of way and a lot of them are reaching their life limits there are no overhead power lines at these trees so if they blow over they will just plug the road
Thats pretty fast for power company. Few years back we had no power for a week only a small area was out and all of us presumed power comp knew when we called they told us no one had called them.
couple of days ago we heard a big bang. thinking someone fired off a shotgun then yesterday evening we noticed the top of a big tree had snapped and would eventually brake of and fall across the street. Called the city office this morning just after 8 and they sent man to look at it by...
We are center east il and they use a plane here buzzes over the small town as he turns to make another run. I knew one crop duster years ago that hooked the powering as he flow under and flipped his plane upside down on the country road and he was lucky not a scratcb
