With the flu making its rounds, I used hand sanitizer when I was at the doctor yesterday. Been having issues myself... figured the last thing I need is the flu as well. :(

I learned at a young age that women can get an attitude about this. When I was 18, I held the door open for a woman easily 10 or so years older... she gave me a crappy look and said "I could have got the dam thing myself"... I was shocked. It was a wake up call for me moving forward.

I was on a site a few years ago and people from UK were raising a fuss about us calling the US "America". Their point was that the continents North, Central and South America, yet we Americans (!) call it America. So I learned from that and call it the US or United States.
