    Signs You Are Doing Okay

I know I'm doing o.k. because I can do my daily 2.5 mile morning walk with wife and no bad health issues appearing on the horizon.

What season do you most like to put up decorations.

Dear wife loves to decorate house for fall and Christmas. On September 1st each year I have to get up in the attic to drag down tote boxes full of all variety of fall decorations. It takes her about one full day to get everything set in place. There is so much she has to take pictures so she...

Is America a third world country?

This entire thread has been confusing from the start. First, America is not a country, it is a reference to either the North or South American continents, or maybe both. I have to assume the original poster is referencing the USA. Assuming we are discussing the USA the term "poverty" is...

    Ever Wonder About Certain Things?

Yes, I see those traits in most people we know, but I do see a lot of negativity even on this forum. I truly believe people are conditioned to feel they must find someone to blame for things they do not like or things in their life that have not played out the way they wish. I accept full...

    Ever Wonder About Certain Things?

I often wonder what I would do with all the money if I won the Powerball jackpot....give a bunch to homeless veterans....then buy a nice cabin in the mountains...gift only daughter with money so she could retire...maybe buy a collection of classic cars and a big warehouse to store them...

    Different States cost different

We are in Florida and our health insurance is expensive at over $900 per month for wife and me. I don't believe any state has "free" health insurance for all.

Is it hard to get just the right temp. for sleeping, or when you're awake?

We keep the thermostat set at 77 degrees during the cooling season which is basically May thru November. December thru April normally are not cold enough to run the furnace. We sleep with the ceiling fan on low year round. I do not sleep well without air movement.

How Will This New Bill Affect Your Taxes?

My understanding is that anyone age 65 plus will get a $6000 tax credit and if filing jointly and both age 65 plus will get a $12,000 tax credit starting on tax year 2025. So I would think most everyone on this forum should see reduced federal taxes. That is unless you already pay no federal tax.

American's expose the truth: China makes America look like a third world country

Our economy is far from failing. I won't waste time watching this clickbait. These kinds of posts just seem to be intended to stir up discontent.

    Caitlin Clark and the WNBA

"The Big 3 reportedly offered Clark $15 million to participate in the 2025 season. "We offered Caitlin Clark $15 million," Tattoo revealed during a TFU Podcast clip that has since been removed. "It started at $5 (million). But the official final offer was $15 million for 10 weeks." Caitlin...
