"Computer is down-nothing works " We are computer junkies.

I hate it when the computer system shuts down, or unable to use. Especially when I am talking to a bank, a business, dr office, etc. They tell me to call back, come back, in several hrs or next day. Grrrrr. This can screw up my whole day.

With a refrigerator, do you prefer a bottom freezer, top freezer, or side by side?

I prefer top freezer. I don't like digging to find my meat. Top freezers seem to stay more organized.

Do you use wrinkle creams? Does it work?

Of course, as we all age, we hate those wrinkles that appear. At least I do. Do you use wrinkle creams? If yes, what do you use and did they remove, lessen, or cover up the wrinkles? What brand or kind do you use? What happened when you stopped using creams? Did your face appear to have...

Years ago(poss 10 yrs) I scanned all my dad's Koren War photos. I used Microsoft Photo to label them and put comments on them. ex: 1953 - Dad with his army buddies -- see comments The Comment Section was on the bottom of software. I typed his story and the names of each vet as he...

If you were tired of living alone, which would you prefer, a husband/wife, or a roommate?

Nothing takes the place of a man holding me in his arms.

    Were you forced into retirement?

Not forced or intended to retire. I became exhausted visiting mom in the hospital, and working a 3rd shift schedule. I couldn't do it anymore, so I gave my 2-wk notice, with intentions of finding a job elsewhere. After doing a catch-up sleep for 2-wks, I started with mom's doc appts again...

I don't understand people waiting in a line

Sounds like the store needs an organized system of who goes to what register. The stores around here have 1-line, with an attendant monitoring it, guiding the customer to the next available register.

I don't understand people waiting in a line

I use the Self Cashier Registers too. Especially in grocery stores. I like them. I don't get crushed chips or pretzels anymore. I get to bag (organize) the way I put my food away. I get to double bag if bottles are too heavy for bag, or item tears bag. I go during the hrs that are less...

    Can You Afford to Eat?

The prices around here (Pa) are not as high as NY, but YES food has gone up rapidly. Eggs approx $5/doz, Ground Beef $4.50/lb, Milk $3.97/gal, Fish range $7/b to $25/lb, Steak $17/lb, Tomatoes $2.99/lb, and bread can range from $2.99 to $5/loaf. I watch fliers for sales. I buy generic when I...

Am I The Only One Who Doesn't........?

Entertaining - After immediate family passed on, I don't do that anymore. A room full of opinionated people becomes a horror scene. BBQ - love the taste, but too much trouble for 1-person. Its just me now. Hot Tub - Used only once in a spa. It was ok.

    Do you share your gifts?

I agree with the statement "share a piece or 2, but not the whole box." Well said. My gift giving thoughts dates back to a young child. I did tasks around the house and saved up enough money to buy my mother a birthday gift. She loved chocolate coated cherries, so I used up all my money to...

    Do you share your gifts?

I don't feel hurt if the bottle of wine (as a gift) is shared with a husband or deeply love one. With casual friends, then "maybe" yes.

    Do you share your gifts?

As a Receiver: I keep my gifts for myself. Years ago, I would share the item with only the people I deeply love (my husband or children). Now I live on my own and keep the gift item for myself. As a Giver: I become a little hurt when the item is shared, because I spent time or made the...

    Do you share your gifts?

Do you share your gifts? – Just a discussion topic. When a person gives you a gift, they are giving the item to you. Do you share that gift? Or keep it for yourself, since it was meant for you only? Some people I know share their gifts received such as a box of candy, basket of fruits, bottle...
