I have extended family. It’s why I came to Texas. Weather is important. I enjoy change of seasons and don’t mind a chilly night. Cost of living is the biggest factor.

Actually lived in Florida until I retired. Then moved. Florida is fine. But each year things go up and up. Taxes and insurance. To the point it was be becoming a focus of my time. Yes I loved the weather and the beaches but I can visit. I’m currently living in Texas but will probably re-locate...
