Do you eat raw Oysters?

I don’t like raw oysters, but I do like them pan fried and served on a bed of lettuce with lemon and tartar sauce. I also like oyster stew, but i like clam chowder better.
When I was a kid (and even when my kids were growing up) , crabs were fairly cheap sometimes, and we always enjoyed getting the whole cooked crabs from the grocery store and picking them apart and eating them fresh.
If I had lived closer to an ocean where there was actual fresh seafood, I would have liked that even better !
..because we're an Island nation, we get a lot of Shellfish, and I love it... but not oysters. Crab I like but only the white meat... I often go to the coast where all sorts of fish is caught, and cleaned and immediately sold at the seafood huts... deelicious..

Not a raw oyster lover, but I did try Oyster Kilpatrick, barbecued with bacon and Worcestershire sauce and garlic butter. It was quite nice. But could only manage about 6. That was about 20 years ago.
In the olden days when I lived down south I spent many saturday afternoons in some Fremantle watering hole and frequently had Oyster Kilpatrick - could never see why people went crazy about them and it didn't seem to invigorate my sex life??

I do not like raw oysters. I tried a bite once when I was going to cook some oysters and it didn’t taste good to me. Although, if they had been prepared by someone who knows how to eat raw oysters, they might have been better. I tired the swallowing a whole raw egg thing once upon a time, too, and didn’t like that either.

I love pan fried oysters ! When I was a kid, we had a local cafe that served pan fried oysters and also pan fried prawns (large shrimp), and I loved both of them. They were served on a bed of shredded lettuce and with tartar sauce on the side, and usually French fries or some other kind of potato.

Oysters are a great source of vitamins and minerals, and are one of the best sources of both copper and zinc. The other good source is liver, so I am trying to eat more of both foods.

Years ago I loved eating raw oysters from the shell. Then dipped in cocktail sauce. BUT I then learned I was allergic to all shell fish and had to put an end to my enjoyment of the oysters.

Also
I was not feeling safe eating them. With that said I also loved baked Oysters.

I loved oysters more than chocolate 😊

You couldn't pay me to eat raw oysters! 🤮 Besides the fact that they look disgusting (IMO), considering the amount of contamination in today's waters, I wouldn't feel safe eating any raw fish...that goes for sushi (although I did have some a couple of decades ago).

I haven't eaten them in quite a while, but I absolutely love oysters! I used to go to a seafood place downtown that had two guys behind the counter that did nothing but shuck oysters. Sadly, they closed when the owners retired. Classically, oysters are served raw on the half shell with a little mignonette sauce, which refers in French to “black pepper,” but I also enjoy them without any sauce at all. I can easily suck down a dozen, but two dozen is better!

But look at crab, lobster, etc. Until cooked to where the goo gels up inside it is easier to understand you are just eating bugs.
