Ford...

Unsustainable, right?

You'd think there's gotta be a cut in the near future.

Build more Hybrid off-road equipment modeled after a
SCAB 5' short bed F150, heavy winch mounted front bumpers,
Rollover bars and Roof racks. Wide rims and offroad rubber.
All standard to cut costs. The roads/highways/bridges have
deteriorated / potholes, to the point OFF Road is good.

It’s currently 7.85% and trading near the low end of its 52 week range. With the metal tariffs impacting, I would hold or sell. But then, I am only a trader and look at it from that angle. Selling short could be a winning play, maybe. Things are very volatile at present. Early AM tweets can be unpredictable.

for longer term holders ford has been an awful stock to hold .

over the last year , with all dividends included it lost 16%

it has a cagr over the last 3 years of 5.45%

it has returned less than 1% cagr the last ten years

and a mere 1.46% cagr the last 15 years .

a money market beat its returns .

never chase yield .

dividends are not like interest .

dividends are a withdrawal method and all payments are subtracted off your balance via a share price drop when it goes ex dividend

just think of a mutual fund pay out .

you get a distribution , you reinvest it , and next morning you have the same amount you had working for you before the pay out .

if you didn’t reinvest then you have less then you had working for you
