Do you make any international phone calls?

I think it was in the 1960s, when they made the first long distance call via satellite from the US to the UK. Now, anybody can call anybody else. International calls are no longer a big deal. Do you make any international phone calls?

No. We only phone within Canada. Our in-laws are dispersed throughout Canada and we phone them often. They phone us also.

No.

International calls and parcels were common years ago when we had family members in the military.

We still have a few but now it’s the younger generations that maintain those close connections through social media.

I don’t, but my Son and DIL are in Greece this month, and they have one of their cell phones active for calls to their home daily.
They have a cat-sitter taking care of their cats, and they want to be sure everything is going okay.

My daughter is living and working in the Netherlands, and we do sometimes talk on the phone, and normally, she calls me. Since we both have an iPhone, most of the time we use FaceTime Audio to talk with each other, so it is not actually a cellphone call.
Because of the time difference, mostly we just text back and forth, that way we can communicate according to our schedules.
My husband’s brother lives in Germany, so we talk with him occasionally, and he has some kind of connection that works with his German call phone to connect with a number he has in the US. Now, he usually calls with FaceTime also because it is much more convenient.

used to use skype a lot or zoom but skype gone crazy recently and want you to buy 'help teams' that show you how to spend ya money?? so many ways now just gotta learn one ; pick one and go with it

Sure. I have friends all over the world. A few guys I was in the service with have moved around. One went to Thailand and another moved to Chile. The price of the calls have decreased substantially over the years. I also used a satellite phone when I traveled overseas to call back home.
