People are purchasing bigger garbage cans.Is there a size limit on the containers?
Property taxes don't go towards any utilities where I live.People have begun throwing their garbage into the streets in parts of my neighborhood. Can't blame them. What are our property taxes for anyways?

Yeah but those 55 gallon bags are ten bucks apiece just to buy the bags!In our local area, it is $2 a bag of garbage that we take to the recycle center. But they do not limit the size. You can fit an awful lot in a 55 gallon bag! Recycled items are free.
Just make sure you don't put anything with your name on it in the garbage. Decades ago, my father bought me a brand new galvanized garbage can to keep in the garbage area of our co-op. One day I saw my can damaged in the middle of the street. Then it disappeared, so I started putting my garbage out in heavy duty bags. Management contacted me and told me they were going to fine me. I told them that someone damaged, then took my brand new garbage can and I wasn't buying another one. They backed off and I was not fined. But that let me know that someone had gone through my garbage and I started shredding all mail with my name on it after that.People are purchasing bigger garbage cans.
Fortunately, I live in a Court where we all combine our garbage at the curb. The City workers can't tell who put out what...so sometimes I can get away with putting out 5-6 bags every 2 weeks. Screw this unfair bylaw!
Yes, the 55 gallon 3mil bags are a little costly, nearly about $0.75 each. But worth it. I can go with one bag every two weeks. And they are very strong and do not tear open very easily.Yeah but those 55 gallon bags are ten bucks apiece just to buy the bags!
(Not really lol but they ARE quite costly.)
$1.50 per month isn't bad!Yes, the 55 gallon 3mil bags are a little costly, nearly about $0.75 each. But worth it. I can go with one bag every two weeks. And they are very strong and do not tear open very easily.
Here we get an annual dump pass that is paid through property taxes. People can sign up for trash pickup with a waste mgmt company that's contracted by the county. I had a 2 yard dumpster for about 20 years, but now have 3 bins to separate trash into. At first I was doing my duty as a law abiding citizen and scrupulously deposited recyclables, garbage and yard refuse in the appropriate bins. One day I glance out the window when the trash truck came, noticed that it dumped all 3 bins in the same truck... Needless to say, no more sorting trash for nothing.Garbage removal comes out of our Property Taxes.
Plus $2 a bag, totaling around $6 a month, which is still pretty good. The pickup place is only a few miles away.$1.50 per month isn't bad!
