A Drive-In Movie Theater

When's the last time you went to a drive-in movie theater?

Are there any open in your area?

Back in the 70s we would go every weekend to the local drive-in. Cape Cod can be a foggy place and if it got bad you could barely see the screen and they would give out fog passes, meaning your next movie is free. One summer was incredibly foggy and we probably saw 5 movies in a row that summer that were fogged out. Well technically we saw half of 5 movies but only paid for the first one.

Last time was probably around 1987 - the kids were too young to manage a couple of hours in a theater, but some Disney flick was showing so we piled them into the van and saw it at the drive-in.

Memories. :D
I havent been to one since the late 1960's when I went with my cousins to see Night Of The Living Dead.
We had KFC. We were gnawing on chicken parts and throwing bones out the window. Great fun. :D
Cousin and I were sent to the concession stand for drinks. I crept back to the car and bit my other cousin on the arm.
Her scream was epic. In my defense my cousin dared me. :D :D

Geez, it's been since the '60s that I saw a movie at a drive in. I loved them though, and it was reasonably inexpensive to see a double feature. And of course Jujube is right about them being passions pits...:censored:

We went often in the summers in Pittsburgh. Somehow it's nice to know that there are still a bunch left scattered over the country. There are none here on the Miss. Gulf Coast . It would be too hot and muggy in the evenings to be in the car without A/C.
