Just ordered 4 plug in units with 8 cartridges. They are pricey, but if they work they'll be perfect for upstairs, basement and garage. Just dispose of cartridge when full of bugs. Gives off a blue light, so will have to put them where it won't bother me.

I already have a tiny blue night light under the kitchen table, plugged in for years, stays cool. I used it for pups to find their way around and for me to see what they were up to. Will remove that one and put the bug killer there. Don't want any night lights near my bedroom though, don't need them.

Anyone using these, do you like them?

I had good luck with something similar, years ago.

It was too long ago for me to remember the specifics, but I think it cleared up a problem, at that time.

I hope that works the way you intend, Seabreeze.

Thank you Kaila, some summers I get a lot of bugs coming in every time I let the dog in from the yard....or out. Moths, mosquitoes, flies, wasps, gnats that come on fruit from store, etc.

I hated the moths most, even with the lights out, when I let the dog in or out for his last potty break, some moths would always fly into my house.

They hit into everything, including your face and arms. I always had to quickly shut off the kitchen light and put on the light over the staircase to the basement. Sometimes they would be attracted to stay there where I could swat them more easily.

Loki went crazy watching them and trying to jump and get them, if I swatted one and it fell to the floor, the cat would inhale it immediately, I'd often have to then try and beat the cat to the moth so I could throw it out in a paper towel.

My goal is less work and excitement this season, lol. Bear is interested in them too in the house. If one is in my bedroom, I can't go to sleep unless I swat it. Hubby used to come to my rescue and get the ones that were on the ceiling. We had a window air conditioner in that room, and the cold would kind of slow them down, but I donated it to Goodwill and will just be using the ceiling fan from now on.

I battle with wasp's every year beginning right now!!! Hate those critters...I've tried traps, scare away gizmo's and still every
year they are back....grrrrrrr
I have a lot of yellow jacket wasps, have been stung several times over the years. I have good luck in my front yard where most of them gather in different places. I use the yellow plastic Rescue traps and use the attractant that comes in tubes and you squeeze onto a cotton ball. It only works for me if I use large amounts of the attractant. I never use the newer cartridges which come with measured attractant.

I set up my trap around a week ago, used six tubes on the cotton ball and put a touch of water on it for moistness. I have more in my garage and will add a few more tubes if needed, if I'm not getting the amount of wasps I expect. They really take over, and you do have to take action in early spring. Good luck with yours, it's satisfying when the trap begins to fill up and the wasps are few and far between flying around.

I put a couple in the back yard with less bait, but my main activity has been in the front for years now. They do go after my pear tree in the back, which I will be cutting down this year, it also attracts coyotes to the yard and leaves a big mess for me to clean up on the ground.

I have had an age old battle with wasps as well, nasty mean little buggers. Several years ago I read about how peppermint oil works to get rid of them, and I was surprised how well it works. Peppermint oil and water mixed in a spray bottle and spray away any place they usually nest. It doesn't kill them but does help keep them away, I bet I reduced wasp activity around my place by 90%.

Fair warning, the 10% that don't scare off are the meanest of the species, they'll sting the snot out of you just to be ornery.🤣

Depends on how many bugs fill up the cartridge. About every other month
I put mine up around the time I posted this. The weather had been chilly and rainy, and there wasn't many bugs to be seen at all in the house.

Just yesterday I noticed the one I had down in the finished basement, and the one in the garage had a lot of bugs on them.

They were mostly on the bottom half where it plugs in. They were mostly small moths, so they took up a lot of room. I changed those two out. I haven't seen any mosquitoes in the house, just a fly or two, the moths haven't really invaded yet and I haven't seen any big ones even outside yet.

I went on Amazon to buy some replacement filters, I still have two left. They are really expensive, two for $14. I bought a cheaper brand that is supposed to work with Zevo traps, 6 for $12. They had a good rating, so hoping they work just as well. I'll pay the price if I see results, I hate bug, especially flying and biting ones.

I coexist with wasps. Outdoors, I keep my distance and the handsome little creatures coexist with me. For some reason wasps occasionally get into my house or workshop......so I trap them in a cup against a window or wall where they've alit, slip a thin bit of cardboard between the cup's rim and the window and then transport the poor, lost insects outside where I set them free. I've done that for years and never been stung.

Fruit flies are another story. I think they're fruit flies. They're some species of tiny fly...I think they might hatch out of the soil in my houseplants but I don't really know if that's the case. They are a nuisance and I exterminate them. The Zevo trap seems like a better option than what I use.......I make a trap out of a cut off plastic bottle with water and apple cider vinegar in it. The flies get in but can't get out. I think the Zevo trap is probably more efficient. Thanks for the recommendation SeaBreeze.

We do the same with hornets. (All wasps are hornets, but not all hornets are wasps). The exception is that if I see a nest being built anywhere on the house it gets a good shot of hornet spray . . . one and done!

A variation on your approach for fruit flies, I pour a little vinegar into small, shallow bowl, cover it with cling film, and then punch a number of little holes through it using s toothpick. This lives near any fruit that is on the counter. It work very well. :)

For those tiny ones that DO come out of the soil in indoor plant pots, i buy a pack of yellow sticky papers designed for the job. They come with small sticks for the purpose and work pretty well.

Mine don't have cartridges. I use the Ultrasonic type plug ins. They emit a high frequency that the bugs don't like. Says they're safe for like cats and dogs. Rodents like hamsters and whatnot might be bothered. I get the $20 ones at Walmart and put one in every room. The ones I currently have, I've had in place for 2 yrs now. I rarely see a spider and ants never anymore unless one waltzes in the front door on occasion. They are excellent at repelling roaches and bed bugs. Found that out when I moved into this city. LOL!
