Do you have a 'Sound' Sleep/machine?

No!

I sleep, year round, with an ordinary oscillating fan that provides a nice breeze and creates a form of white noise that helps to block out the sounds of the city.
Ditto. I also have an oscillating fan to create noise and help keep me cool. It’s not the least bit noisy where we live. In fact, it’s tad too quiet. The fan creates some neutral noise.

The one advertised had..

White noise

Rain

Waterfall

Crackling fire

If you had to choose👆 which

or

add one of.yours.😉

I have one that helped me a lot for a couple of years.
I had expected that I'd love the rain or other water sounds, but it was the white noise that I settled on.

I haven't used it for a few years now.
I think that I then had a small fan for a while, till it broke.
And for 2 months each year, now, I have the fan of the a/c.

I've finally started taking melatonin and meds, because sleep is so essential for my health, but my meds don't work as well as some of the other posters. 😊😉😁

Well, I don't have a fan. Melatonin upsets my tummy and makes me want to vomit but I still thank God for the folks for whom made Trazadone. Praise, praise and more praise.

Amen! I took Ambien for a while and had some negative "episodes". When my mother was in assisted living they gave her Trazadone to sleep. I started taking it a few years ago and it works like a charm!

A few years ago I started listening to podcasts. One podcast would allow me to relax until he ended with 30 seconds of his guitar playing. Loved the music, except it wakened me. Some are too upbeat. I audit my audio. It has to be interesting enough to keep my attention; dull enough to let me doze off.

For those who listen to white noise. Is it found in podcasts or ?

My acupuncturist uses one along with relaxing music during treatments. I liked it & bought one. Sometimes I will use it at night & other times during the day I just turn it on for some relaxing sounds in the house.

This is the one I bought from Amazon, Magicteam Sleep Sound White Noise Machine with 40 natural soothing sounds & memory function 32 levels of volumn powered by AD or USB & sleep timer sound

For 15 years of my work life, my shift consisted of 2 weeks of 12-hour Night shifts, followed by
2 weeks of 12-hour Day Shifts.
This was our normal rotation.

For the Night shifts, I used the spare bedroom set up with black-out curtains and multiple fans,
to sleep during the day.

I could make the 'switch' without much trouble until 2009, when my body declared it 'just couldn't
make the switch' anymore.

Put in my notice at work and we moved to Tennessee and I worked normal hours till I retired.
