Tell me what you’re grateful for.

So many things. Including that i have learned the power of expressing gratitude for even small things that make my life easier and more pleasant. It is part of my meditations. At least twice a day. And when unexpected good thing comes my way, i thank whoever brought it, and if there is no person in front of me i can thank for it (as with things in nature that bring me joy) i still say 'thank you'.

Even if you have no belief in any kind of religion, 'higher' power, Divine spirit or consciousness-- saying 'thank you' to the void is acknowledging the good in one's life. That matters the same way it matters to acknowledge the stumbling blocks, problems. Nothing can be fixed without acknowledging the problem, the difficulty. By the same token acknowledging the good shifts our attention, reminds us it life difficult as it can be is not ALL bad.

Oh, Pepper. So sorry to hear that. I hope by 'routines' you mean tactics for fighting the depression. Mine have helped me when depression tried to gain a foothold. This might be a topic for the Mental Health forum. Ways to at least keeping it at bay.
By routine, I meant doing what I have to do that I ignore. Making doctor appointments, UGH, chores, etc. live like a normal person instead of one who sits and stays sad
