are starting to feel more healthy, and healing without problems,
no big plans for me today, just go with the flow....have a good day if possible......:):coffee::devilish:😛

Good Monday morning!

Got the horses fed at 6:30 AM as usual. They are hunkered down in front of the barrel fans as usual, in this heat.

Made the appointment to have one of my four wheelers picked up to go in for the gas leak it has. They can’t pick it up until July 23 but that’s OK. I’ll just have to live with it. He would’ve picked up both four wheelers because they both have a gas leak and neither one is running.

Since the gas leaks could be anything from something minor to something major I chose to just send one in for now. My head is already planning on a $500 bill. I’ll be ecstatic if it’s less than that and then I’ll get the other one fixed right away.

At 2 weekend afternoons of an outdoor art&wine festival with music, did a poor job of protecting myself from the sun this weekend so ended up with a minor sunburn on the back of my neck and a marginal burn on my right forearm. Should have used some sunscreen on the back of my neck and arms. As someone that is outdoors so much, I greatly dislike ever getting sunburn so tend to take precautions but sometimes forget. At age 76, my skin is still unwrinkled, and work to keep it so.

Next outdoor music event will be 6pm Friday about 35 miles north with an Eagles tribute band. This week will be prepping gear for my coming group backpack trip.

I forgot to post here today, did my usual morning walk at 6:50 temp was 73 with a slight breeze with humidity
I got a ride with the Gates van at 9:20 was dropped off at local post office station, then I decided to walk home
I had not done this long walk in awhile, 6 blocks took me 40 min, cloudy for most of the day but it was humid, when I got back walked into my air condtioned apt drank cold water then crashed onto my sofa
I didn't go for afternoon walk too humid & I was tired

Some may wonder how I manage to attend so much live music? Well not only is the SFBA a Mecca for musicians and bands but also many cities have outdoor music series events during mid spring through mid fall while weather is pleasant. Sunday, this freestyle dancing guy, went up to and talked a couple minutes with the attractive nationally touring Michelle Lambert with a beautiful voice. That was an hour before her show, that later had a great rowdy crowd in Los Altos and gave her some of my personal web site links.

I doubt there is any other urban area that has as much FREE outdoor live music during those months as the SFBA. Note this doesn't include much longer concert listings for pay to attend bars, nightclubs, and music venues. The below shows FREE city sponsored listings during this current work week for just these 13 cities in nearby Santa Clara and San Mateo County events, out of the eleven SFBA counties. Thus, I could be at shows Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with larger events scheduled each weekend, especially in San Francisco, except need a few days to recover after each weekend haha.

Good Monday afternoon to all. Busy day today, plus we're on week two (of two) of watching baby GS while his parents are at work. Somehow tomorrow will be a switcheroo where we'll have 3 year old GS and DIL will take the baby somewhere. Obviously, I'm not clear on the particulars. 🤪

I've emailed with @hollydolly a bit. It was an ugly car crash for which the other party has admitted fault. HD has injuries that she will hopefully recover from fully, but it's going to take some time. For now, typing is out of the question, since she has a broken hand. She can talk to text on emails but not the forum. So no comments on SF but she is reading everyone's concerns and good wishes, and is very appreciative of the kind messages. I'm guessing she'll figure out a way to post here again soon.

My son and I had joint eye appointments this morning with our glaucoma specialist. I'm very sorry that my son "inherited" glaucoma from me, but it sure is convenient that I no longer have to worry about transportation to and from the office, which is in another town. Uber and Lyft drivers usually went to the wrong building in the complex to pick me up. Once when I was dilated, I could hardly see, so was not able to text the driver with directions to the correct building. Luckily my son was heading home and was close enough to be able to pick me up.

We got dilated so my vision was hazy and cloudy for most of the day. Blessedly my son's eye pressures have improved and mine were great. Also I haven't suffered any nerve damage from diabetes. My son has slight nerve damage but that's because he didn't start using the eye drops when he first got his diagnosis. After I ate lunch, I fell asleep while listening to soothing music with my headphones. Later I could see enough to play a couple of games, then went back to sleep again. By the time I woke up (around 11), I was seeing more clearly. Ate a snack and took my medications. I have found that I usually wind up posting about my day about 11:44 p.m. Sure enough, tonight was no exception. My friends.....

Are you talking ATV or UTV's? Sounds like a cracked rubber hose between the tank and fuel filter Imogene. See a wet spot on a hose or filter. It smells.
Of course, the Tank may be cracked? Put a piece of cardboard under it, so you can pull it out and smell. A lil Air Pressure from a Compressor
into the tank sealing it with a shop towel, may push the gas up to the Carb so it can run at least. If it's from the pump you might see the leak, then.

Don't light em if ya got em though. The lil fuel pumps do go natty also.

This afternoon, between 2-4pm, Canterbury Woods marketing team will be here at Gates, showing group of people who are on the priority list. The team will show them different apts{ size wise} talk with those residents, mine included. I had mentioned to Adam{ marketing sales director} last yr, I'd like to help promote Gates anyway I can, have done so in the past. I'm looking forward to this

Oh, goody. I went out to work on the iris garden and discovered that DD finished up except for putting down mulch. We ran out of it so it's back to the garden center this morning.

So I vacuumed instead. Should have dusted, but why rush into it?
It's a dilemma @Georgiagranny and I fear you have already fallen at the first hurdle; you vacummed so, now you probably have more dust particles floating around. Maybe tomorrow you will dust and then, all those particles will float to the floor so, you create more dust ....

Quentin Crisp - nothing to do with potato crisps - once said "There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years, the dirt doesn't get any worse"

If I were you, I'd leave it for another four years and decide then - if Quentin was right, you'd have saved yourself four years of dusting and vacuuming.

Hope that helps - you're welcome :);)

I like your style, Girlfriend.
Quentin Crisp - nothing to do with potato crisps - once said "There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years, the dirt doesn't get any worse"
Sounds like my kinda guy...

Phyllis Diller, a true font of housekeeping wisdom, used to say, "If they [your children] write their names in the dust on the furniture, don't let them put the year."

I went out to water and realized a problem I've been creating. Things are not dry. If you feeling the pots they're almost wet. We've had a lot of rain but when it's this hot I feel I need to water if it hasn't rained more than two days.
Poor plants are just sitting in hot water. I need to feel before I spray.
We bought a sunshade for an area that is unusable In July and August. We need to put the hooks in four places so we can just hook it up there when needed. It's on the list to do BEFORE it gets too hot. 🌞
Anyway, now a needed shower for me!

Once I bought a brand new book, Do I Dust or Vacuum First? at a garage sale. It looked the same when I donated it years later.
