2025 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

3Day.jpg

It is in the upper 60s which feels cool after last weeks blistering days of close to 100. I had an appointment 13 exits down the interstate and it was both raining and foggy. I am glad to be home safe. It is probably cool enough to make lentil soup tomorrow. So that is a plus.

While July 2025 seemed like it might have been the warmest on record for upstate NY - it wasn't:

July 2025 was a hot and humid month in Albany, NY, but not the hottest on record. The monthly mean temperature was 75.9°F, which is 2.8°F above the 1991-2020 average. It was the 5th warmest July on record at the current Albany airport climate reporting site, and tied for 8th warmest when considering records back to 1874. There were ten days with high temperatures of at least 90 degrees, and twelve days where the low temperature did not drop below 70 degrees.
