Bought myself a new DVD player [small size?] and a new pc average size and use HDMI cords to link them to TV set to project bigger screen sizes. they work for a wee while and then crash and either only one will work or none - I finally downloaded an instruction manual for another independent TV I have - [they are all secondhand pass alongs] and discovered why this was happening - any IT nerds here wanna guess??]

My tv and dvd player are all old second hand stuff. The chromebook is an older model and I have no issues with my HDMI cable causing anything to crash.

MY title is perhaps misleading - what I discovered was not so much the cables but the much older TV sets and their inner 'guts' were never designed to deal with the electronic 'waves' coming from things like DVD productions - so without getting too technical the quality and substance of electronics [ picture production/and audio] from the internet and dvd players was too technical and just imploded? - at least that was my interpretation of the explanation in the TV manual - so old things with new things -particularly electronics don't work well?? We need to keep our connection machines as alike as possible and in step with new technologies?

well i'm pretty sure my cable is newer than my equipment. what i was saying is that i've had no issues with either. :)

true my interpretation was perhaps or probably cables are Ok but it is the overload of technical info on the laptop gadgetry itself?
