Why I am still using Windows 7

I've thought about doing that for so long!! Should have tried it when I was younger and more techy! Glad to hear you've had success!!!!
Today's Linux systems don't require much tech savvy, just the willingness to get accustomed to unfamiliar arrangements, kind of like going from one version of Windows to the next.

I'm still running it. My Windows 7 laptop is an extra device, not the main one I use, but at least once a week I turn it on, and have had no issues.*

Purely by chance, Yesterday I was visiting the town of Stonehaven and discovered that a landscape photo of the local Dunnottar Castle was used as an official wallpaper for Windows 7.
Stonehaven - known locally as 'Stoney' is a few miles south of Aberdeen in N.E Scotland.

New systems are faster and more secure, but I am so used to Windows 7 and how it works. My desktop is all connected and set up they way I want it. If I get a new system, I'd feel like this girl in the photo trying to set it up.

Good for you. I'm on Windows 10, and will remain there.

People are obsessed with having the latest operating system. Yet little of what we actually use these devices for is built into the OS - it's about apps. Also, so many infections from nefarious sources are self-inflicted.

Use your brain, and don't change the latest icon. ;)
