Yes, that precious man is soon turning 100. He has a new book titled “100 Rules on Turning 100”.

during his interview with Al Roker on the today show this morning, he commented there is one role that he would like to still be able to play and that is the role of Ebeneezer Scrooge lol. I can’t see him being a Scrooge. he is just such a joyful, joyful person

at any rate, I cannot see him being 100 years old this year. It’s just unbelievable to me where the years have gone and he is so busy he says singing and dancing are his passion and that is what keeps him going; he commented he is nowhere near ready to retire.

I agree with him 200%. If you have a passion, don’t give it up — just keep pushing through even if the manner in which you do it today doesn’t resemble how it looked 20 years ago.😇😇

Agree with above. Dick Van Dyke a great gift to all of us. A pleasure to know him all these years. He’s an example of an exceptional celebrity.

The man has unparalleled talent. He's given us so many wonderful roles over the years.
He always seems irrepressible, and I'll bet he's the same in his private life.
errrm... not all wonderful... god save us from his potrayal of the chimney sweep in Mary Poppins....

However he's a lovely man in real life... and just this week he gave an interview saying that he no longer leaves the house to visit anyone, he just hasn't got the energy or the strength..

Makes you wonder, if a Brit had started this thread using the same title, would the name have the police knocking on the door?
The police reaction to John Wright's comments beggars belief.

First- I heard he wrote a book.. does anyone know where/what it is???

Also- a couple of nights ago I changed channels (t.v.) around 10 minutes or so before a show was over.. it was said to be the Dick Van Dyke show, the storyline was similar, the characters were the same, but the actors/actresses weren't.. the only one I recognized was Carl Reiner, in the role Dick Van Dyke usually starred in. At the end it said the show was produced in 1959. It wasn't clear whether it was the pilot episode or what.. does anyone know?
