My community is very upset and show up in force.

I was told our local rural hospital, which is quite large for a rural one, wants a database
in our county.
Town meeting was last night (freezing temps) and the building could not hold the numbers
that showed up. I have to admit I could not believe so many stayed outside to hear the meeting
over the intercom as it happened.
And guess what, not a single person got unruly or hit, pushed or spit on anyone.

Keeping it civil and not distracting from the issue with fighting with law enforcement made the town
put a 6 month hold on the vote for further discussion after more research. I am very proud of these
fellow neighbors for doing it right.

Small town here, too. We had the same type of thing happen. The town council passed new code ordinances. It wasn't until a year later that people found out the details. Big town meeting. Council said they would rewrite the code, put it on the back burner. They are just waiting until the hoopla goes down, people forget. Meanwhile, they are quietly, behind the scenes, doing what they want.

Kind of what I am expecting here too. I think the area they purpose it to be is what hit a nerve to people here.
Right Next to a very loved Nature Preserve for plants and wildlife, close to our river. They may be scouting about
for another site before it comes to vote again.
