Where was the most boring place you ever visited?

It could be anywhere in the world.. a country... a town... a museum.. a tourist trap... a mountain.. anywhere at all... except not a supermarket car park waiting for groceries ..or your kids to come out of school ...lol.....and give the reason why you found it tedious

rememeber it's all subjective, one man's meat is another man's poison ... so don't get upset if someone hates/hated the place you love/d...:D
However.. you can also just tell us somewhere yu visited, and once was enough...for whatever reason...

I'll start...

Belgium.... doesn't matter when you go there the place seems to be shut !

Second.. ......Stonehenge... boring ..boring..boring..it's just a bunch of stones..

Once some neighbors invited me to something that was billed as an art event. They thought I was interested in all art. It turmed out to be 3 hours of untalented people performing awful skits and songs. We had come in their car so I was stuck. Boredom is torture when there is no escape.

So true..... I've edited the OP to say anywhere you've been to once, and wouldn't return.

We took many vacations and probably the most enjoyable were in Colorado. Then we went several times to the beach in Galveston, Texas which was always fun.

It's not always the place, but the circumstances. When my wife was in the early stages of ALS but could still function, we took a vacation to Los Angles to see our daughter. She was stoned when we got there and stayed that way for the duration. What we had hoped could be a happy time turned into a whirlwind of acitivity trying to see all the major points of interest while contending with someone that was completely out of it. We could have enjoyed what we got to see, but wished we had never gone.

I once went with my mother and brother to an exposition. Modern art or something. She did it to do a friend a favor. Paintings with worms. Worms worms worms. Everywhere worms. All 3 of us couldn't hold it together and got these unstoppable stupid giggles and we had to leave.

Another time was in a meeting. I was there with my mom. A conference in England. A woman said, just as an introduction to her talk, that she once saw a tree full of acorns. But we're Dutch and an eekhoorn sounds exactly like acorn and that's a squirrel. You rarely see a squirrel here, so we were in awe. Wow. A whole tree full of squirrels. She kept talking and it made no sense and then I realized my mistake. Not a squirrel. An acorn. I look at my mom and she's still in awe, so I tell her they were just stupid acorns and then we had to run fast, cause you couldn't laugh there. They were all very serious.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway to watch a Nascar race. 1st. & last time I'll ever go to a Nascar race.

The race started.
The drivers began on the oval track on a straight away starting point. 1.Made a left turn
2.Small section of the oval made a left turn
3.On the back stretch they accelerated
4.Slowed a little to enter the far end of the oval.
5.Made a left turn.
6.Small section of that oval made a left turn
7.Accelerated down the straight away beginning point.

Repeated those left turns over & over for hours. Sped up slowed down the whole time

I hear ya Holly. During a port visit to Belgium, we rented a car and drove to Paris. Highlight there was a tour of the Louvre.

During one port visit to England and a chartered bus ride that happened to cross the area of Stonehenge on our way to another destination, the English bus driver refused to stop at Stonehenge. The parking fee for buses was said to be outrageous, but not only that, the English driver said there wasn't much to see there. It looked exactly like the pictures we'd seen, he said LOL. So I've only seen Stonehenge from a distance and basically on the horizon as we rode past. Had to be better than a boring bus ride though ;)

well I;m glad you wrote this because there's a famous race track not far from here, and I've always wanted to go....however I've always had a suspicion it might just be how you describe... so I don't think I'll bother... and anyway the tickets for a big race are very expensive.. lol

The husband drug me to this out of state football game in Pennsylvania. Once. It was awful. I was trapped.
Wedged next to the husband in this seat with no back meant for a toddler. Being wedged in did help with the cold.
Not so much with the rain. I was so bored. And it was LOUD. I thought about reading a book but I knew that would be frowned on.
Did I mention I hate football. #sorry #not sorry :D

I had a similar situation when the X and I went to see the film Avatar.... I hadn't been to a cinema in the uk for years... so when we went I wasn't expecting the fierce air con, so I was freezing.... .. the very loud stereo sound... and the boredom of the film... it went on so long....almost 3 hours....

I found Yellowstone National Park boring. It seemed like all the animals went into hiding while we were there, it was disappointing. Luckily the little town of West Yellowstone had a place where kids could put food out for bears (bears not let loose until the kids were all back out of the enclosure), plus a stuffed moose to take pictures with, and an old-timey candy store that I enjoyed more than I should of.

Boring, Oregon. We went there to see just how boring it was. It wasn't even boring enough to be boring. They don't even put up the "Welcome to Boring" signs any more, because they get stolen as fast as they're put up.

Weed, California, wasn't very interesting either.

Hell, Michigan......well, if that's hell, I hope I remember to bring a good book.

Christmas, Florida. Well, there's a year-round Christmas tree at the RV park. Oh, I forgot Ft. Christmas. It's a little interesting.

We drove by Forks of Salmon, California. We weren't hungry.

We used to drive by Forks of Ivy, North Carolina, but never stopped for a salad.

We spent one night in Truth or Consequences, NM. I didn't find any truths, nor did I suffer any consequences.

We saw Big Beaver, PA on the map. The Spousal Equivalent was quite disappointed....

Places I haven't been: Why, Arizona....followed by WhyNot, Mississippi. That answers that question.....

I always wanted to go to Humptulips, Washington but I was afraid of what I'd see.

Minot, North Dakota.
I never warmed up or found anything to do there.
I personally would expand that to the entire state of North Dakota. I've been stuck here for 17 years: I moved here for my ex's job, and the rest is a long story. Some day I hope to escape.

I'd second that with Ishpeming, MI, another podunk town where there is nothing to do. And I had to move there for my ex's job, too.
