On day 10 of the Iranian revolution, the Ayatollah has fled

Yes, for over a thousand years after the fall of the Roman Empire.

More recently, the number of international wars decreased from a rate of six per year in the 1950s to one per year in the 2000s. Civil wars have broken out here and there. The one in Sudan has been ongoing for decades.
and the west has to fix them all??

and the west has to fix them all??
No one has to. Imagine the financial and human costs; the manpower and equipment that would be required for such an historic undertaking.

But "fixing them all" would benefit everyone everywhere, possibly for centuries, possibly for even longer than the post-Roman Empire eras.

Globalism at last, eh?

I wish someone would drop some water and food to these brave people.
This Mexican standoff is making me feel very uneasy.
It was reported that citizens are sharing everything they have with each other, and merchants and shopkeepers are giving food away...money has no value now anyway. And last week, the people raided the IRGC's massive food warehouse and the homes of members of gov't and Ayatollah supporters who have fled.

The objective is to stop the IRGC's slaughter of innocent citizens and free the people from an oppressive regime, and to defend Israel if the Ayatollah's military attempts the missile attack they promised.

How could somebody like or even love a government that hangs gay men on cranes and is stoning women for adultery?

Well, $hit just got real.
Evacuation orders have been issued for all military sites in Iran, and the closure of Iran's airspace

Iran
Risk Level: One - Do Not Fly
[ about risk levels ]
15 Jan 2026: Iranian airspace (OIIX/Tehran FIR) has reopened after a sudden short-notice closure overnight that lasted around five hours and triggered diversions and cancellations. No official explanation has been given publicly. Flight tracking shows overflights resuming, but most operators continue to avoid Iranian airspace due to elevated risk and existing airspace warnings. If you’re operating in Iran or neighbouring FIRs, the bigger risk picture hasn’t changed - ongoing regional tensions and the risk of further short-notice airspace closures.

The primary risk in Iranian airspace is misidentification of civil aircraft by air defence systems during periods of heightened tension. Iran has previously operated advanced air defence and conducted missile activity close to busy international routes with little warning to civil aviation, and the shoot-down of Ukraine International Airlines flight 752 over Tehran in Jan 2020 shows how quickly the situation can deteriorate.

Several states continue to warn against operations in Iranian airspace, and the US still bans N-reg aircraft. Most operators have been avoiding Iran and Israel since the Oct 2024 rocket attacks between the two countries. Most Middle East transits have been operating south via Egypt/Saudi Arabia instead.

There is little evidence that any religion has benefitted humanity - just caused wars - deaths and distrusts
I'm Atheist myself, but how can you dismiss the uncountable times religion has offered comfort and hope to the terminally ill, to mothers who have lost children, children who have lost parents, the lost, lonely, abused, addicted, the widowed and widowers, soldiers, servicemen, and people and nations of people facing crisis?

I don't think I covered it all, but it won't surprise me if you miss my point, or at least argue it, so I'll make another: by a huge margin, throughout history, including recent history, most wars have been over territory, and secondly, resources.

religions just want converts and still war and kill to win their territories etc - according to the christian bible there is only one God and his triune - different according to the Isamics - same images different names and wars to prove it on both sides - the ancient christian wars from UK - the Islamic wars still ongoing right across the ME - the taliban and its religion offers little succour and comfort to its own people - only discipline

- I've been through the buddhist mill and the christians mill and they all have their own agenda and mix very seldomly - some churches will help the sick and lonely - this is often by individual choice despite their great tomes requiring it.

christian life and practices is fast disappearing in a sea of greed and selfishness - with some unamed leaders shall we say being so greedy they wanna steal other peoples countries?? - but this all happened eons and eons ago througout Europe and the ME - we are a selfish breed who steal and kill and sometimes pretend to be kind and nice hahaha!

The Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton is a high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for persistent maritime intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and targeting. Developed for the U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Air Force, it operates at altitudes over 50,000 ft, covering 1 million+ square nautical miles in a single mission.

according to christian readings [see old testament] Islam started with Abrahams son Issac - product of Abraham and his wifes maidservant - Abrahams wife banned her maidservant and son into the desert, after she became pregnant and conceived - no not making it up go and read it up!! - it was said he would become a great leader - leading a great nation and would have the temperament of a wild donkey. But this is a biblical story and if you don't believe in christianity or its books then for you its not true?
