Bruuuuce and his latest song

This is where my Jewish family lived throughout their history right up to the war. I know some escaped and made it over here because there are families from them living in South Dakota now.

During the Holocaust, the city of Groningen in the Netherlands suffered the near-total destruction of its Jewish population, with over 93%—approximately 2,550 individuals—deported and murdered between 1942 and 1943. The community was largely sent to the nearby Westerbork transit camp before being transported to extermination camps. The city was liberated by Canadian forces in April 1945 after intense urban fighting

I like Bruce Springsteen and understand the song but feel that it isn’t really helpful.

I don’t condone or agree with ICE tactics as compared to their mission but I believe that it’s dangerous and unfair to portray the ICE agents in the field as thugs and bad actors.

The sad reality is that most of them are just as scared as the protesters they come in contact with and they are only trying to earn a living for their families. When people are scared they sometimes overreact and do stupid things.

It’s true, just like in any area of law enforcement that there are always a few bad actors that need to be removed.

Sadly, I can’t say the same for some members of their leadership who sit safely on the sidelines and make outrageous inflammatory statements to the press.

We need to find a more peaceful, humane, and constructive way to deal with the issue of immigration.
