A cancer status update

December and January have flown by with no contact with my cancer docs. Next Thursday I do have an appointment with the surgeon. Hopefully he will check for new tumors. Since he has told me there is no treatment other than major organ removal I don't expect any good news. I wish he could give me an estimate of how much time I have left.

@Llynn I don't think I've seen your threads before now. I am in Games more than the other areas. With that said, if it's not too late:

The update you shared is very concerning. I hope you get very good news on Thursday and answers you seek.

There isn't much I can say, because I am not in your shoes, and can't share your pain except here on the forum with your supporters.

Please know that I will keep you in my thoughts and say prayers for you. Till the next time.
 
Hopefully the news will be favorable, but it may help to keep in mind that surgeons mainly think in terms of surgery. If the news isn't good, it wouldn't hurt to call the National Cancer Institute and talk with them about immunotherapy trials. It is showing the most promising results. Your body has the ability to fight cancer, but it doesn't recognize it. If the cells are trained, they are a formidable force.
